Looking for summer beach reads? Check these titles out. |
It’s the time of year for sun, sand and good books perfect for whiling away the hours on the beach (or killing time in the airport and on the plane getting there and back). If you’re looking for a great summer beach read, here are five current titles that are getting tons of hype:
1. The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest: The third and final book in Stieg Larsson’s action-packed trilogy is out in the U.S. and readers are scrambling to get it.
2. The Passage: Justin Cronin’s novel tells the tale of disaster-ridden version of America plagued by vampires and the one little girl who may be able to save civilization.
3. The Last Child: John Hart’s novel about a brother’s quest to solve the mystery of his abducted twin sister won the 2010 Edgar (as in Allan Poe) Award for best novel.
4. If I Loved You, I Would Tell You This: For the short story fan, Robin Black’s first collection of tales will hold appeal.
5. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: For all you Twilight fans, this novella breaks from the Edward-Bella love saga to spotlight the tale of peripheral character Bree Tanner.
