Derek Young, Architect

Derek Young has worked on many areas of Kayak's technology, including the core search engine and various piece of the user interface. He is focused mostly on improving the performance and reliability of the site.

Derek has worked most recently on billing systems at MetraTech. He codes mainly in Java, C++, C# but enjoys smaller languages like Groovy, Ruby, and OCaml.
