 Where better to recover from a drug binge than St. Lucia's Jade Mountain Resort? Amy Winehouse and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil have just left the Caribbean resort in a $1,000-a-night suite, which the hotel staff has admitted checking daily for evidence of drug use after a neighboring hotel guest complained of "strange smells" coming from the British singer's suite. According to reports from various news sources (Winehouse in Hotel Drug Search, Daily Drug Hunt at Amy's Hotel, Troubled Singer Amy Back in Britain, etc.), Winehouse and her husband took the week-long vacation to relax after leaving rehab earlier in August and being caught by photographers bloodied and scratched in the middle of the night outside their London hotel. The pair has returned to the UK for the time being.
If you were to visit the Jade Mountain Resort, you'd find "sanctuaries," instead of rooms. Each offers an infinity-edge pool overlooking the Caribbean, tropical hardwood furnishings, bathrooms with water views and whirlpool tubs. And dining in the Treehouse restaurant at the resort is an experience not to be missed. The dining room is level with the tops of the trees outside - quite a view.
