Blog Watch: Cheapskatin' LA |
|
Being somewhat of a blog-gregator instead of a person who comes up with only original content for his/her blog, I get really impressed and excited when I run across what I'd like to call a grass-roots blog, or one that is done in what is fast becoming old-school style: a blog that offers awesome info for a wide range of people, but does so just for the hell of it - without ads, without commercial mumbo jumbo. We can't all run blogs like that, and I have no particular issue with capitalism or advertising, but it just seems so pure and simple to run across a blog like Cheapskatin' LA, which I learned about from the lovely travel blog Gridskipper today. The site, run by Amy Raymond, covers free events in Los Angeles. If you're in town and lookin' for sumthin cheap to do, check 'er out. (Can you tell I've been in the South for a week? The accent is even starting to creep into my typing.)
