 Chewton Glen, a 19th century country manor near the New Forest in Hampshire, has been rated one of the world's best hotels by Conde Nast Traveller (British edition). The 130-acre estate has its own 9-hole golf course, spa, restaurant, trails to the nearby beach, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a croquet lawn and outdoor pool. The 23 suites and 35 bedrooms are outfitted in classic English country style furnishings. It's a pretty posh place. Rooms run from 280 pounds to 775 pounds/night. Nice touches like Bang & Olufsen CD players and in-room trouser presses turn the comfort dial up a notch.
