EU to Expand Borderless Travel Zone |
The European Union decided yesterday to extend the borderless travel zone to 10 new EU member countries over the next two years. For European travelers, this means that there will be 10 more countries to visit without border checks, passport or visa requirements. The new passport-free zone won't begin to take effect until the end of next year and will take until March 2008 to fully implement. The countries set to join the EU's borderless travel zone are:
Estonia
Latvia
Lithuania
Poland
Slovakia
Hungary
Czech Republic
Slovenia
Malta
