Yup. Despite promises to clean up the passport backlog by the end of next month, the State Department has announced that travelers willing to pay the extra $60 fee for expedited passport service should allot three weeks to receive their passports. Last year, before the new passport rules sparked an onslaught of applications, an expedited passport could be in your hot little hands in a matter of days.
