Hotel Healdsburg Debuts Biodynamic Spa Treatments

A new offering from one Sonoma wine country hotel suggests that merely being earth-friendly may not be enough to impress the legions of increasingly eco-conscious travelers on the move these days.

Just in time for Earth Day, Hotel Healdsburg has begin offering new spa treatments that are not simply eco-friendly, but also organic and biodynamic.

Available through July at the posh boutique hotel's spa (pictured), the treatments for skin and body feature Eminence Organic Skin Care products alongside ingredients sourced from organic growers, vineyards and producers that follow biodynamic farming methods.

So what exactly will end up on your skin? There's a Wine and Honey body wrap pairing honey and Sauvignon Blanc from nearby Quivira vineyards, known for its sustainable farming, as well as Lemon Sage Body Wrap with Quivira olive oil and Meyer lemons. Guests who indulge will also be invited to visit Quivira for a tour of the biodynamic and organic produce garden there, as well as a complimentary wine tasting for two.
