How to Get Your Passport in 24 Hours |
$551. That's how, according to RushMyPassport.com. The U.S. passport expediting service says it can get you the little blue booklet you need for international travel within 24 short hours. Sounds kinda too good to be true. But then, I'm just the information conduit. I haven't tried the service. Costs range from the aforementioned $551 (which includes the $127 fee charged by the government) to $343 for a renewed passport in three to four weeks.
If you're requesting an expedited passport, you've also got to supply proof of your identification, proof of U.S. citizenship and proof of your departure date (i.e. your travel itinerary). Otherwise, it's a no-go.
If anyone's used this service, let us know how it turned out. We'll post your comments on the TravelPost.com Insider (incidentally, we turned our comments off recently because of spammers, so you'll have to contact us directly for the time being).
