If You Had Reservations... |

At the Royal Arkansas Hotel & Suites in Pine Bluff, Ark., you better make alternative lodging arrangements. The hotel closed suddenly over the weekend - with guests still inside. Adding to the strange circumstances are reports that hotel managers ransacked the place before leaving Sunday night. Several thousand dollars went missing from the restaurant's cash drawer, and hard drives had been forcibly removed from employee computers. When the majority of employees showed up Monday morning for work, they found the hotel closed.
Ah well, maybe it's all for the best. Parent company IBAC Corp fired the hotel's general manager last fall after he was charged in a credit card fraud scheme that took from out-of-state guests' cards to cover payroll costs. On top of that, the Royal Arkansas Hotel & Suites only garnered an average score of 3.2 from TravelPosters who've stayed there. 'Nuff said.
