Is Holiday Inn the New Starbucks?

Bloomberg reports today that InterContinental Hotels Group - owner of Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and other chains - opened a hotel a day in June 2007, putting the company well on track to reach its goal of adding 60,000 rooms to its inventory by 2008.
