MapQuest Navigator: GPS Subscription

MapQuest NavigatorSo you're intrigued by GPS systems, but you'd rather not blow the big bucks on a navigational system strictly for your car. Maybe you want a device that works when you're on foot, as well as in the car. Maybe you don't even want a new device at all. MapQuest Navigator is a new subscription service that turns your cell phone or PDA into a GPS system with both car and pedestrian modes. Driving? The service gives you voice-guided and turn-by-turn directions. Walking? MapQuest Navigator will ignore one-way streets and vehicle turn lanes. You can also receive phone calls while you're in navigation mode and make direct calls to any of the 15 million "points of interest" included on the maps. Right now, the service is available on most Sprint and Nextel phones. It is planned to hit Blackberries soon. The cost of turning your cell into a GPS system? $9.99/month. MapQuest Navigator
