Miami: Shore Club vs. Schrager

Seems former Studio 54 Owner and hip Hotelier Ian Schrager's wild times may not have ended with the '7os. Owners of the posh Shore Club Hotel in Miami's South Beach filed a $15 million lawsuit yesterday accusing Schrager of "siphoning" funds and "poaching" guests from their hotel after he and his Morgans hotel management group were hired to manage the property. The suit accuses Schrager of sending both the money and the guests to the Delano Hotel, his own SoBe property:
Besides canceling guests' Shore Club reservations and then sending the guests to the Delano, court papers say, Morgans also used the Shore Club to house and feed Delano employees and pay for food, laundry and other personal expenses. The lawsuit says Schrager charged expenses associated with his private jet to the Shore Club. It seeks $5 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive damages.
Now if that ain't juicy hotel news, I don't know what is. Shore Club official site Delano Hotel official site
