Michelin Screws Up in San Francisco |
Foodies and travelers around the country are abuzz about the revered Michelin Guide's new handbook to San Francisco restaurants. Only the second U.S. city to receive its own Michelin Guide (NYC was the first), San Francisco was full of people anticipating the book's release - until it arrived and readers immediately began to notice mistakes. Not only does it seem that the Michelin folks failed to visit some of the restaurants they wrote about, but they also published false, outdated and unconfirmed information. Some of the book's guffaws are easier to forgive than others. Finding that an entree's ingredients are different than those mentioned in the book might not bother a hungry traveler, finding out that the restaurant has been closed for months surely will!
You can read all the juicy details in the San Francisco Chronicle story linked below.
