The Biblical Historian and International Shopping King |
|
Don't you think it's somewhat ironic that a man who's traveled the world to write books like Where God Was Born and Walking the Bible would be highlighted in the New York Times mainly for his insatiable international shopping habit? Of course, author Bruce Feiler buys important artifacts that reflect a country's culture, but still. It struck me as funny that someone so associated with Biblical history would also be a self-avowed international consumer. How very American.
