The 18th annual Tokyo International Film Festival kicks off this weekend. Over the next eight days, the festival will screen more than 300 films, many of which are from Asian directors. New this year, the festival has a hands-on mini theme park area with movies, games, anime and manga characters and cutting-edge video games. The festival does not attract the same caliber or number of international film stars as do European film festivals, but there are some celebs rumored to be attending. They include the following illustrious characters: Terry Gilliam, Monica Bellucci, Tommy Lee Jones and Joaquin Phoenix.
