Don't ask me why I get Trader Monthly magazine, but I do. It's a long story. In the October/November issue, the mag sifts through the many alluring attractions in Verbier, Switzerland (not the least of which seem to be the hot blondes in Prada ski pants). About an hour and a half drive from Geneva, Verbier is sort of like the Aspen of Europe. The slopes are an expert skier's dream, the lodging options spilling over with luxury and the nightlife scene as fun as it is high-class.
Perhaps the most frequented apres ski spot is at the Hotel Farinet, which also happens to be a pretty nice hotel. Rooms have flat screen TVs, DVD players, and double rooms have balconies. Check out the apres ski scene pictured above. Standing room only....
