A few tips on buying through mileage malls:
- If you plan to shop at SkyMall, navigate there via your preferred airline's mileage program. That way, you'll earn miles for the airline you use the most.
- To earn miles, you will need to purchase and pay for your items during the same online session. Choosing the "bill me later" option can result in forfieture of your miles.
- Be careful not to navigate to an outside vendor site by accident. You've got to buy your products from the airline's middleman web site - not directly from the retailer's site. For example, you can earn oddles of miles at major stores like Circuit City, Nordstrom and Target, but only if you use the mileage malls to reach them.
