The easiest way to get to the resort is by hiring a rental car or booking a taxi, Uber or Lyft. The drive will take about 1h 20m, and an Uber ride will cost about $75 depending on traffic. Alternatively, you can book one of the seasonal transfer shuttles that are available from the airport, such as the ski shuttles in winter, and will take you to your accommodation along with other passengers on board.
The resort’s SnowSports Academy offers a large range of different classes, targeted towards all ages. Kids can join the Mini Learners classes or the Winter Kids Camp, and if you’re an adult and have never skied you can join the Adult First Turns class. There are also classes for different types of snow sports such as cross country and alpine skiing. And if you prefer learning without a group, you can book a private lesson. The SnowSports Desk is open every day during ski season from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Boyne Mountain Resort does have a rental shop that is open every day throughout the ski season. You can rent everything from skis to boots and even helmets, or a combination of items, whether you need the equipment for half a day or for the duration of your stay. If you have brought your equipment with you, the shop also offers a tuning service, where they use a calibration machine to get your skis or snowboard in shape and safe to use.
Aside from the one-off events which can range from festivals to sports activities and holiday themed events, the resort has a long list of annual events that have become a tradition. Depending on the time of the year you book to stay at Boyne Mountain Resort, you might be able to participate in events such as Bike Night, Skitoberfest, Costume Crawl or the golf Tournament Of Champions.
If you are planning to take your pet dog or cat with you to Boyne Mountain Resort, you will need to call the hotel in order to book a pet-friendly room, as you will not be able to do so using the online reservation system. Guests are allowed a maximum of one pet per room, and will be charged an extra $25 pet fee for the first night, and $10 per night afterwards up to a maximum of $150.
