The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort is located in Henderson, Nevada, not far from the Las Vegas Strip. Unlike many of the resorts in the area, the Westin Lake Las Vegas offers a calming, relaxed atmosphere that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos and downtown lights. Spacious, modern rooms feature all of the technology and appointments guests are accustomed to while traditional Moroccan designs lend a historic, unique design element to the space. The resort is home to G Aveda Spa Lago and a two-level pool, along with the WestinWORKOUT fitness studio.

There are two championship golf courses just minutes from the Westin resort. The grounds also feature 90,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces for private parties, weddings, corporate events, and other occasions. There are multiple restaurants onsite offering different types of cuisine for guests of all tastes. In addition, there are 493 guest rooms and suites that have been recently updated with the latest in technology and comfort. Amenities available include laundry and dry cleaning service, pet-friendly accommodations, concierge services, a heated pool, children’s activities and family events, and an onsite bar and lounge.

Sitting on Lake Las Vegas, this resort offers stunning views of both the Strip and the Lake, with plenty of great local attractions nearby. The Strip is just 12 miles away, or about a 20 minute ride or drive. Other great local attractions include Wetlands Park, Henderson Amphitheater, and the Clark County Heritage Museum. There is also plenty of dining and shopping around town and around the resort.

Pros:I thought all the staff was very helpful.
Cons:The property was run down. They are definitely not a "green" property. We had to run the hot water for close to 5 minutes waiting for it to get hot. The hallways were dirty as was our carpet. The carpet was coming apart where it met the tile. They did not have a second roll of toilet paper on hand so had to use kleenex! The hotel was cold so you couldn't sit in the bar or lobby area without your coat. And the worst thing was that we paid for a "premium" lake view. Our "view" was at the bottom of the hotel on the side next to a stairway and walkway where people kept walking past our room. You could see the beach sand and a few feet of water if you stood by the sliding door. When we asked about changing rooms, we were told the hotel was full and nothing else was available.

Cons:On a walk outside the property, which was outside the control of the hotel, I encountered 3 coyotes!
