From a Hilton we expected a bit more: The description of the parking implies that the Hilton offers free parking for the guest - but it's not! At the lobby there are no brochures about Miami, touristic sites etc. In the room are no informations about services of the Hilton (restaurants, swimming pool, opening times etc.), hooks at the walls are missing for hanging something, first we even missed a table for the suitcase (later we found it hidden in the closet), There are 2 coffee pads for the coffee machine but only one black tea and one chamomile tea (for a double room with 2 people! And why chomomile???). In the bathroom are also missing more hooks for hanging the towels (the existing 2 hooks are too small for a bathing towel), glasses or cups are missing for the toothbrushes, there is no liquid soap at the sink, a toilet brush doesn't exist! The bathtub has chipped enamel, the water in the shower is very weak.
The hotel is a little run down (stair wells, windows, roof, etc), but the room itself was very nice. The room service was very fast, and the food tasted great.
Pros. The room was nice and pool area
Cons. The staff the lady located at the checking area for honors members was a bit rude once she found out I got my room using points and told me I could not get any of my benefits as a good member. Understand no room upgrade but no internet either no this no that. Which was fine just her tone and way she said it made me realize maybe I don’t really need to stay good at Hilton.
Cons. Odd location for the lobby - confusing to have to switch elevators. Otherwise, a great location and a clean, comfortable hotel.
Pros. Happy hour was great. The hotel was beautiful and I loved the view from my room.
Cons. We were told that the pool was heated but it was freezing.
