Pros. I liked the convince of location and comfort of the room.
Cons. I didn’t care to much for the inconvenience of parking and not having a bath tub plug.
Pros. I loved the historical and nostalgic feel of the hotel and the view from the balcony. However, the ghost tours stop in front of the hotel every night, over and over and you hear the same story about it being haunted!
Cons. The parking is terrible in the French Quarter so valet is your option but it’s expensive.
Cons. The outlets in my room were almost non-functional. When I tried to plug in an appliance, the plug would wiggle and fall out just enough that it would lose contact and stop working. The TV wouldn't turn on because of this, and I had to plug the hair dryer in next to the door because the outlet in the bathroom didn't work.
Pros. The complimentary breakfast was a beautiful silver tray breakfast in bed. It was a very pleasant surprise. The court yard was beautiful and the room very comfortable.
Cons. the only negative i have is that they were under construction and started working loudly very early in the morning.
Pros. I stayed for six nights in July. Summer prices were excellent, and the location is superb. According to one of the many Haunted New Orleans tours that went by, the Jackson Hotel is one of the most haunted places in NOLA. I heard nothing, spooky or otherwise, in this quiet gem. Small room, but who stays in their room for long when they're staying in the Quarter?
Cons. Great location but not clean at all. I noticed our bed comforters were dirty as well as the sheets. Have a gut feeling they were not changed. Watch out for bed bugs. Management needs to get on how clean the room and bathroom is. The shower had that brown rust on the walls. Personally I would not stay there again.
Pros. The location was great- within a short walk to restaurants and bars, but just far enough from the busy spots to be quiet. The staff was polite and helpful. The room was small but sufficient for 2 people. Parking is valet only about $35 per night plus tax, although you have unlimited in/our privileges. You don't need your car really for the location though.
Cons. The room was not clean. Stains on the sheets and towels, floor looked filthy, and vomit remains left around the bottom of the toilet. I don't care about how the hotel looks, but cleanliness is a must and this was nowhere near clean. The breakfast is just tea/coffee plus a croissant. That is fine but the croissants were not very good so I recommend getting the coffee then going somewhere for better food.
Pros. Warm & very helpful staff Beautiful / Comfortable accomadations Location on Rotal was central to everythjng we could walk to Very clean/ Staff very efficient Serivice of Continental Breakfast a lovely start to our day
Cons. The Bathroom is a bit small but big soft towels were in abundance
Pros. This hotel has a lot of character. Don't expect anything luxury but I really like this hotel. It was clean and comfortable enough for the quarter and the price was half of other hotels. Room 110 is large and secluded in the back. It opens up onto the court yard. The location of this hotel is amazing! Side note: parking is expensive but it's the same everywhere.
