Royal St Charles French Quarter offers visitors a collection of suites along with three different kinds of guest rooms. The majority of the rooms are standard interior rooms, however, if guests want a little something extra they can try the Superior with extra floor space or the Balcony Kings, which overlook the famed Mardi Gras parade route. During Mardi Gras, these are some of the most highly sought after rooms anywhere. Regardless of which rooms guests choose, the hotel provides many different amenities for their comfort, including a 41' flat screen HDTV, ergonomic work desk and office chair, coffee maker with special New Orleans Roast coffee, and NEST® bath products.
Guests staying at Royal St. Charles French Quarter are right across the street from the most popular place in New Orleans - The French Quarter. This is where some of New Orleans' most famous restaurants and bars are, including Pat O'Brien's, Cafe du Monde, and the Court of Two Sisters. Guests could spend their entire time in New Orleans just eating and drinking, however, there is plenty to here besides that. The New Orleans zoo is fantastic and at night guests can take a ghost tour by foot around some of the city's most haunted places.

Pros. Location
Pros. Ideal location, only a block from Canal Street, in easy walking distance of French Quarter, riverfront and all downtown attractions.
Cons. Being surrounded by so much, it's no wonder that the hotel has minimal facilities. The best dining is offsite.
Pros. Nothing
Cons. When looking to book this hotel we referred to the photographs on the Kayak site. The original photographs showed a French provincial style more conservative accommodation. We we arrived this was a Art Deco style hotel. The room smelled, was not clean and had insects flying in spots. We changed hotels after two days thinking we were upgrading. What a disappointment. Not hotels fault but Kayak.
Pros. From the moment we walked in the staff was amazing! Told us all about NoLa and how to be prepared for Mardi Gras. The gentleman at the front was a huge help, he helped me get a custom to parade routes and also had great suggestions on places to go outside the parade! Loved the whole trip! Thank you guys!
Pros. Staff was great..
Pros. Location is very good.
Cons. They charge a $12 per day Resort Fee for things that should be included like the safe and a gym that we didn't use. They also charge $35 per day for parking. The rooms are small and very generic.. and many don't have a window.
Pros. The location is right off of Canal Street and it's great access to the French Quarter!
Cons. Our room had no windows. Make sure you get a room with windows.
Pros. Room was clean and comfortable. Cozy bed with very thick pillows.
Cons. Nothing
Pros. Location just a block from all the action in the French Quarter was perfect.
Cons. Room was very small for the price. No pool or spa facilities.
Pros. Room was nice and clean and updated, staff was very friendly
Cons. There's no pool at this hotel like kayak claims
