Pros. This was truly an amazing stay for our family. The staff was very courteous and kind, the location is excellent. This is an area with other nearby hotels, however we would choose again Kimberly in a heartbeat. The balcony is also unique for New York and the views are breathtaking. We were on 19th floor on 50th st and so buildings across the street are so tall that they are nausea inducing. Surely very impressive for our kids raised in the suburbs. The executive suite was huge, the sofa bed on if the biggest I have seen (looked like a king when open), the bedding super comfortable, the room had an eclectic touch. We even had 2 full size umbrellas in the closet.
Cons. Despite the furniture appearing high quality and almost eclectic, the room seemed dated. I think it was due to the carpet, maybe it could be replaced. At times there was a funky smell, probably from the air conditioner. I know this type of unit, they tend to build up humidity and that can smell a bit. Nothing that opening our big balcony window wouldn’t fix.
Pros. Service was magnificent! Every single employee we encountered were genuinely kind and concerned with how we felt! True hospitality being practiced here. The room we had was a suite 1 bedroom with a pull out sofa. Attention to detail was evident throughout the room and hotel. It was super clean and very spacious (bathroom was s little smaller than we'd have liked). Rooftop bar and grill was amazing! Empire restaurant attached to the hotel was also amazing with food and service! Overall, I cannot give enough praise to this wonderful hotel. Loved it that much.
Cons. The only negative was I waited a bit when I got to the hotel at the checking desk before I was even acknowledged. But everything after this completely changed my initial perception. Only one elevator working while they work on upgrading the other so it took a little longer to get the elevator but wasn't too long of a wait.
Cons. Poor elevator service, no view from our room.
