Hotel was a great location but the big disappointment was they have huge hidden fees that are not optional. They add on a Wi-Fi and facility charge of 40 dollars a day that should be on the room price advertised. They wait until you are checking in to hit you with 40 dollars for facilities, 40 dollars for parking. I liked the hotel and location, but once you figure in the “extras”, you could stay at a nicer hotel in the same area.
Pros. Currant was wonderful for in-room ordering, and the room upgrade was beautiful. We were here for the lululemon 10k race and we absolutely loved it. Thank you for everything!
Pros. Traveling with 2 grown sons and a dog, we got an upgrade to a Queen suite which turned out to be the best idea.
Pros. Friendly staff. Greeting with a smile and explaining what amenities are available.
Cons. Clean room.
Cons. The bed was horrible
Pros. Loved that our pup was welcome
Cons. Did not like paying $36 a day for parking
Pros. Location is excellentl. Amenities of hotel are up to date and staff were helpful and cordial
Cons. Hotel is nearly a hundred years old. Room was on the small side but that is to expected.
Cons. I loved everything
Pros. It's location is perfect. Walking distance to pretty much everything you would want to do downtown; gaslamp, marina, horton plaza, etc. Room was perfect for me and my girlfriend. Staff was very accomodating.
Cons. Parking.
Pros. Nice lobby with friendly staff greeting us upon arrival. Lots of charm with short excerpts posted throughout highlighting the history of the building. Room was comfortable with all needed amenities for a place to stay. The purpose of our stay was the city. This room gave us a comfy pillow top mattress to rest and recharge each night with complimentary water keeping us hydrated. Workout facility was nice and hardly crowded during our stay. No complaints and would gladly stay here again.
Cons. Rooms were small. There was no view including limited sunlight through the window plus the "green" lighting made it so you had to turn every light in the room on when getting ready. Bathroom was small and no vent :-/. Closet didn't open all the way due to being obstructed by the bedside table (again, room was small). I'm being as honest as possible with these negative, but the purpose of the room was met and the pros far exceeded the cons during our stay.
