Pros. Friendly, professional staff.
Cons. Sliding bathroom door for room 2683 was damaged. Very hard for young children to open. Should repair before having guest stay in the room.
Pros. Comfortable bed, charming hotel with beautiful holiday decorations, right at Union Square - great location!
Pros. directly across the street from Union Square, so it’s perfectly walkable
Cons. Parking was atrocious. It took two hours to actually approach the parking garage bc of a traffic logjam, and we never got to actually park our car safely at the hotel. We had to find a random garage a few blocks away. Best bet is to drop your car off very early, or well after check-in time.
Pros. Location was going to be great but didn’t actually get to stay.
Cons. Booked through Kayak and the day before they stay received an email that the hotel had overbooked and was canceling my reservation. Luckily I was able to find an excellent hotel a block away at a reasonable price. Not sure if I would try to book through Kayak again.
Pros. The location of the Hotel is ideal for any traveler who wants to be close to the public transportation and to be near the businesses in SF.
Cons. For the price one is paying to be there, I wish there was a breakfast option. You could "buy" breakfast but who want to pay $25 for scrambled eggs, when you can walk 2 blocks up the street to a very nice cafe and get the same thing for $12.
Pros. Clean, fresh room. Amazing historic building and ideal location.
Cons. Older building so the rooms are not very spacious in the Landmark Building side.
Pros. Personal touch at check in was very much appreciated.
Cons. Mobile key cards
Cons. No major restaurant. No gift shop or facility to buy personal items. King size beds should have night stands on both sides not on one only. Inadequate drawers Ask for repair of fridge not done. This is not St Francis I have stayed at in the past.
Pros. Great location, convenient
Cons. Housekeeping talks so loud, in the hallways and early. Opened door without knocking once!
