This small and cosy hotel is located in the centre of the picturesque historic town of Šentjur near Celje, close to the Ljubljana-Maribor motorway. Hotel Žonta offers comfortable rooms in nice green surroundings by the river Pešnica. It is ideally suited for conferences, seminars, business meetings, and all kinds of private functions for up to 150 people. A bank and a post office, as well as the train and bus station, are all close to the Žonta.
The hotel staff was very nice and always prepared to help, a lot of parking space and excellent food. The room was big and clean also the bathroom.
I liked absolutely nothing about Hotel Zonta ! The only thing true was the short distance from e57 highway. We only chose it to spend a night during our drive to the sea, but hated everything about this place.
Avoid this place at all cost. Sleep in your car, it probably is much cleaner than this "hotel", even if you are a messy person. Dirty/stained carpets in the lobby, stairs and worst of all in your room. Hair and dirt in the shower. Dirty/stained tablecloth in the restaurant. Everything smells bad, very very bad, although it is a "nonsmoking" hotel, you smell the thousands of cigarettes smoked during the last 10 years, nobody has aired the place for ages. It was my first bad experience with a booking.com hotel, but it was among the worst places we ever stayed in, could write for hours, although we only stayed for one night.
