Auksinės Kopos, set 500 metres back from the sandy beach on the Baltic coast, offers simply-furnished rooms with balconies and kitchen facilities. It benefits from a sauna and a billiards table. The on-site restaurant serves Lithuanian and International dishes. The key sights of Palanga including the Amber Processing Gallery, Resistance Museum and Botanical Park, are less than 20 minutes’ away by car. Auksinės Kopos has a 24-hour front desk and free on-site parking.
Twin rooms are nice and newly renovated, the building itself is a living memory of the Soviet era. The staff is very friendly but all of them don't speak English. Excellent location very close to the beach. There is a nice terrace café in the hotel and a good grill terrace a few steps away. Sventoji itself is a nice beach resort village with all necessary services and almost all guests come from Lithuania. Not too crowdy like Palanga usually is. The beach is huge and clean and has enough beer tents and toilettes etc. Don't forget to try local smoked fish - there are plenty of kiosks selling it all over the town.
If possible ask for a room not towards the backyard as there are ugly and almost ruined buildings whose inhabitants tend to be noisy at night. The rooms on the sea or parking lot side are excellent.
