Pros: I like they're trying to disaggregate costs -- but this ends up feeling like punishment.

Cons: There is a lengthly upsell process which is part of printing your boarding pass and checking luggage. - they charge of 'carry ons', so I paid for the shoulder bag for my computer along with two regular bags....both ways. (note this fee was nearly twice my ticket fee.) - When I arrived and the gate and staff said people make this mistake a lot, there was no way to get a refund other than a time limited credit. - Though this will change, they currently don't allow TSA Pre customers to use that status. They also dont have wifi, a huge business advantage. - When I arrived 30 minutes before the flight, they refused to issue a boarding pass, couldn't transfer me to a same day flight, or refund any portion of my unused tickets or prepaid checked bag fees. Note: I walked to the American Airline counter, bought a ticket, checked bags, and left 30 minutes later -- with more hospitable treatment and only slightlyl higher total cost. I like trying new business approaches -- but I've flown four of their flights and now have the resolution to avoid them at most any cost.

Cons: delay information communicated in confusing ways. posted before i was announced.. inconsistent information . everyone boarded first in a SLOW manner with pre boarding folks taking about 30 minutes.. much confusion over wheelchairs, canes, etc.. Finally everyone boarded THEN we were told the delay was reinstated and we had to get off the plane with luggage and wait near the gate (no seats) .. Finally we had to board again--Spirit phone app wouldn't work for me. and I didn't have access to a printer so we had all 3 passes on my son's phone.. what would we have done if he hadn't come?

Pros: Nothing..

Cons: The staff was unhelpful and rude. They gave me a ticket for the wrong city after I said twice "Portland MAINE" not Portland Oregon. Ended up getting the wrong one. This was after my original flight to Boston had been canceled after being delayed 3 times. I was supposed to leave Chicago for Boston at 2 pm. Didn't leave until 8:30pm. As usual I got to the airport two hours early so I spent 8 hours in the airport of the city I was trying to leave. Trying to get a new flight and eventually just got a refund for about half my original ticket and buying a new ticket on another airline. They were rude the whole time and unhelpful. But that's just airports. But the lady giving me the wrong ticket is ridiculous. This review is silly because eventually I got on a JetBlu flight anyway. I never ended up taking Spirit anyway. I still have my return flight booked so lets hope I make it back home on time...

Pros: clean, crew was nice

Cons: The seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in. They are small and if you have broad shoulders you will have will be in another space. They are ok for a 2 hour flight.

Pros: Flight home to Boston was great! Wonderful crew, entertaining and a smooth flight.

Cons: Flight 857 to Dallas was awful, inside the plane cabin was a high pitched loud noise that hurt my ears for 15 minutes before takeoff and 15 minutes after landing. It was never explained by the crew and was definitely not normal. Sounded like a serious mechanical issue and no customer should be subjected to that. Also sounded like landing gear was not working properly, it kept making grinding noises. Also bratty children on the flight and stewardess did nothing to stop several customers from playing videos out loud on their phones before takeoff. Why were they not told to use ear phones? Very disrespectful to other customers. The 8 y.o. in front of me reached back in to my compartment and tried to shut my window! I had to yell "no, stop don't touch my window!" And his mother sitting right next to him did nothing. He also rang for the stewardess call button for no reason, she did not punish him for that either.

Pros: The plane was clean and tidy, attendants were nice and service oriented. It was an efficient service but you have to pay for any extras including food and carry on or checked luggage.

Cons: The seats can't be reclined and some kids were kicking the seat and you could feel their blows. Fortunately, we called an attendant to talk to their parents and they stopped. There was also a baby craying aloud. It would be nice if those families could be sent to a different section of the plane (but that might be asking too much) Also the plane doesn't come equipped with any sort of in seat displays or headphones to listen to music - you'll have to bring your own entertainment on board. Also the beer selection was so limited (only bud and bud light). I would like to see more of Harpoon IPA, Corona, Modelo, Heineken, etc. And then Spirit would get more of my beer dollars

Pros: I liked the initial price. I also liked the size of the seats.

Cons: The cleanliness of the cabin. It was filthy and crumbs from the previous flight were everywhere. Their carry-on policy is absolutely unacceptable. There is no additional cost for them regarding a carry on, therefore, this should not be passed to the customer. If it is, $55 is an outrageous amount of money.

Pros: All around good experience. Easy boarding. Ample accommodation on flight. Paying for carry on allows you to be first group on the plane so that has its perks. Felt like the old days two decades ago when flying wasn't so complex. Had read bad reviews of the airline overall and found none of it to be relevant. For the price the experience was just as good as any other airline that boasts good service - "high level and high price". Don't be scared by the reviews online. Spirit is perfectly good.

Cons: My flight from Boston to dallas was interrupted by weather. Flew to Tulsa Oklahoma and got stuck there. The airline bussed us 4 hours from Tulsa to dallas but I am still waiting on the 'two $50 vouchers' they were suppose to credit to my account
