The best place to stay while at La Coruña, price and excellent location, superb rooms, and the view: out of this world
Good size room Long way from city centre
location,service,cleanliness and comfort
Perfectly situated near the coast line with splendid, romantic seeview. Car parking place available. Nice cuisine. Friendly and competent personal, for example - Mr. Macario Vega from the restaurant staff. Couldn't remember drawbacks.
a very pleasant hotel
Beatiful area and views, really relaxing, I do recommend the fish menu it is superb. Be aware of the distance from restaurants and city center, it takes one hour to walk. They have no swimming pool
There is a small beach nearby, the Hercules tower is also close by. Just stepping out the door the view is beautiful, there is a beach promenade which leads to the tower. Public transport also near to the hotel.
Its position virtually on the cliffs with easy walkable access along the coast onto the promenade into the middle of town. Also due delayed flight we were late arriving but were still able to order a meal in the restaurant at 10.45 pm Nothing.
position and sea walks in ythe morning and evening. Would prefer parking in the hotel grounds.
Setting, space inside rooms, confort, breakfast Cleanliness
Location was excellent and the staff were fantastic! Would be more than happy to return the next time that I am staying in La Coruna:-) The hotel could definitely do with an ironing room; or place irons and ironing boards in the bedrooms; or alternatively make them available through reception. The hotel did offer an ironing service but I would expect the option of being able to do my own ironing in any hotel. A tea and coffee making option would also be a good idea for the rooms!
Beautiful and comfortable
Friendly staff! Nice View!
the view is obviously the best thing we stayed twice a week apart. on the first occasion the room and bathroom were shabby but made up for by the view
I found the room noisy with the people on the floor above us.
an excellent hotel in a very good position.staff helpful and food good.
The ocean view is wonderful. The room could have been cleaner. The restaurant food is mediocre: which is strange because food is great all over Galicia.
Good location, helpful staff, clean rooms.
Location. View from room. Secure parking. Apparently the rate quoted by booking.com for our sea view room should have been per person not per room but the hotel honoured our quote without fuss.
The hotel facilities were very good and so was the location as is very central.
Very friendly and helpful reception who took the time and trouble to find our 15 year old daughter a room next to ours.
friendly and helpful staff. clean and comfortable room
The room was spacious and clean and they had a good selection of food for breakfast which is a shame as it this hotel could have great potential if it provided the basic requirements for a business traveller in terms of WIFI in the Room, Iron and Restaurant at night. No WIFI in room. No LAN cables available to check internet, no Iron in hotel to iron clothes (apparently we have to pay an outside company to do this), the restuarant down stairs is permantly closed at night, they only have a cafe/bar area which is very cheap looking, so you have to go outside for dinner or eat in your room. Overpriced drinks and food. If I where the manager of this hotel I would be very concerned about the loss in business this is causing.
We went to La Coruna and to the beach, you can walk to the beach.
Quiet area. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Generally good experience overall. We would have no problem recommending this hotel. Although the weather was not too hot we might have used airconditioning once or twice. However, the AC was not working.
The contemporary feel of the hotel. Very clean and staff very helpful. No room service after midnight. A complementary bottle of water in fridge for when guests arrive and a microwave in the kitchen would be handy.
Quiet location, good sized room, clean and comfortable
Everything! The entire stay was amazing. The staff, the location, the rooms... everything was perfect. I can honestly say that it was one of my best experiences at a hotel.
Nice place to stay for the night. Rooms are big, clean and calm. Good quality for the price. Nothing much to do around though. Food is avoidable.
Excellent value. Spacious, modern, clean rooms. Quiet. A lot of parking space.
Spacious room and facilities Restaurant menu limited
It was ideal for our purpose. To see La Coruna and the countryside around Everything perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peaceful, out of town but within easy access, nice views of A Coruna Hotel Main door driveway!
Fantastic breakfast! Carpet in room was very worn...needs changing
The location of the hotel is just great - close walking distance to the old town and all its lovely restaurants but also a very close tram terminus from which to explore all the sights. Liked the outdoor pools a lot! I think for this standard of hotel there should be tea and coffee making facilities in the room
excellent rooms, we stayed in a junior suite and it was brilliant for our needs (with a baby), everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel was present
The Hotel was easy to find and the room was well appointed. We were there for just one night but managed to take odvantage of its position to walk into A Corunna and see some of it.
Fabulous view of port from room. Very comfortable room and great location.
Hotel 100 % OK once passed the elevator : the entrance-hall is somewhat obsolete and doesn't let presume you arrived at a high quality hotel.
We liked everything, although we were in a junior suite so our room probably wasn't typical. It's location is first class; close to the old town but overlooking the sea. The staff were excellent, very professional and charming.
View over the harbour; great facilities for swimming, exercise carpet is worn; although labeled non-smoking room smelled of smoke; first room was very small, but after asking we were able to change to a better room
the room was spacious enough, clean and quite. I enjoyed a lot the bathtub with hydromassage. the access to the sport facilities nearby (swimming pools) is free for hotelguests. the breakfast has international niveau Poor parking facilities available.
Location and facilities We were on a smoking floor
A gorgeous hotel. Really liked the champagne on arrival in the lobby after a tiring journey. A nice touch.very classy spot.
Good value for the money, great location. Room smelled kind of smokey (as in cigarettes). Also, our room faced looked directly into three other rooms, meaning that we could see anything and everything going on in these rooms if you had the blinds open, which you needed to have open in order to air out the smokey room.
It's closing for refurbishment in the New Year and will then be 4 star, and more expensive !!!
the sea view is amazing, perfect romantic walkways near the beach, the rooms are well-design and feel fresh and clean. Sea view is obligatory, the front-faced rooms have half the chemistry.
The hotel location is very good; the rooms are big. There is a problem with the hotel buiding concept: as the rooms windows are huge (which is nice), the rooms facing the sea, at the end of the afternoon - at least in the summer - get so much sunlight that the rooms temperature are intolerable and the air conditioning system can't solve the problem (we had to ask to change to another room facing the street). These room's bathrooms don't have air conditioning and, due to that, you just can't say longer than one minute there at the end of the afternoon, in the summer. The whole hotel cleanliness is sloppy, as you notice some small details in cleanliness which are intolerable. The breakfast (food and service) is, undoubtly a 3 star hotel breakfast.
The location and view across the bay to A Corunna. A clean and modern hotel.
Rooms were extremely comfortable and the views impressive.
The location close to the sea.
Good location. The sea, restaurants and some shops are at walking distance. It takes a 5-minute drive to a proper beach. The room is contemporary decorated and very clean. Friendly staff, but no one speaks English, so be sure bring your dictionary.
It's a very quiet hotel, the surroundings are great, and very close to La Coruna central city. There are several beautiful beaches and even great mountains
amazing hotel, modern style, great sea view, good restaurant, excellent value for money paid. 1- no internet in rooms even though it advertises that wifi is possible in the entire hotel. not true, they only have it it the public area and, never had it in the rooms.2 - room is boiling hot, one wall is all glass and the sun hits on. heavy curtains and air con did help a bit, but still - very hot until sunset.we stayed there in late September, not so bad, but I can imagine what it's like in summer. That said - all the rest was fantastic.
Lovely quiet location overlooking beach, close to good bars and restaurants.Recently refurbished to a high standard.Short drive from airport. Pool not filled but was the end of May so perhaps too early in the season
Very friendly and helpfull staff. No problems with parking. Quiet location. The free busses from the hotel to A Coruña were very handy. Beds were very unconfortable. Location is a bit far from the city and not very easy to find.
close to city and airport. rooms equipped with own kitchen . inexpensive food and drink at bar. the hotel staff was negligent to the point of liable. We were given a list of stops for the shuttle- butno map, though maps were available and offered on an apparently selective basis. We needed an early taxi for our flight and they promised to order it for us. and then didn't do so. A major oversight that could have jeopardized our flight!
the ambiance was very relaxing
The fact that we could use the pool after a hard day of work and that's isolated from the center confusion although it's just 10m away. The room furniture, mainly beds...
The warm welcome I received It is quite a long way out of the centre but then it is very close to the airport.
The location of this hotel is very close to the airport.
Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful at the desk and in the restaurant. Would recommend it to everyone. no
The hotel has a good location overlooking the Ria. It is very close to the airport, but it not disrupted by airport movements. It offers good safe and secure parking and the centre of A Coruna is a few minutes drive, and easily reached by local buses.
price, location was good would not print a document for me, no curtains only net curtains?
Convenient & fuss free N/A
The best thing about this hotel was the meal of the day, very good value for money Quite a walk to the car park especially if you have a walking disability
Helpful staff, very comfortable sleep! Very close to train station; within walking distance. Hotel offers reasonably priced parking though isn't necessary as free parking in the area relatively easy to find. For our one night stay, no problems at all.
the staff were very friendly, hotel well situated and affordable
Clean and comfortable and well located near transport
The staff were very helpful The noise of th traffic was very loud at night .
The bad was very confortable and the room very clean the hotel has no balcony, so i cant recomand it to smokers.
I liked the convenience to the bus and train stations. I did not like breakfast was not unitl 7:35am the morning we were leaving. The receptonist was not welcoming and friendly and did not go the extra mile in customer service. It seemed when asled a question it was an inconvenience rather than take ownership and help me out. I asked him if he could call my friend in his room and he said "no".
very friendly staff our room faced the major street, difficult to sleep with cars going by, it also faced the large 'hotel avenida' sign that is lit up at night, the windows had sheer filthy curtains on them. They just need some nicer light blocking curtains and bedspreads on the beds instead of just blankets and it would make a big difference in appearance.
Clean and comfortable Noisy air con from adjacent shopping centre
it's location, bathroom and brealfast
Cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff Not applicable
comfortable room and bathroom no swimming pool
The value for money was unbeatable. Taxis were very cheap, so we could access the city easily. The internet was very expensive and the connection frustratingly slow.
Reception - very helpful. Easy to arrive and deprt city to/from this hotel by own car. Cost of 24hr parking nearby (i.e. no dedicated hotel parking). (We were lucky to get free street parking on Sat Night/Sun Morning - otherwise you have to pay quite a bit at nearby store parking lots).
The service, the location, and the facilities for the price are excelent. Nothing realy bad to say about. Just that when we returned from breakfast the cleaning lady was already in the room even before we checked out.
The leaking toilet.
The hotel itself is very good value for money. It's spacious and very confortable. The town of Malpica. It's probably the worst example I've ever seen of how to destroy a beautiful natural lansdscape. It made me sad.
Stylish rooms, balcony with sea view, relatively cheap breakfast, close to the beach (3min walk), The hotel is situated within a big building site.
Excellent clean hotel with good facilities. Very good value for money
The cordial hospitality N/a
The hotel is very relaxed and very friendly. The location is good becuase you can walk down the beach front into Malpica (quite a nice small town) for food and drinks in the evening. My Wife and I were on honey moon and the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcomed us with special touches. My only dislike, which is not fault of the hotel is the extent of building and devlopment that has gone on in close proximity to the hotel. Google earth and the website photos are a little misleading in so far as the hotel is now surrounded by devlopment and not 'on ites own' near the beach. This does nt detract from the fact that the beach is very nice and 'countryside' is in easy reach (walking distance) from the hotel.
nice spot and lovely rooms there was a construction site right over the street
The rustic surroundings and unspoilt countryside area is being spoilt by ugly new builds
Friendly staff (English speaking as well). Nice room. Restaurant in the hotel with fruits of the sea. Free parking but no good public transport (only one bus stop nearby). Good for tourists with car, a petrol station opposite to the hotel. The airport is close by with taxi. The curtains had a bad smell as a result of smoking in the room! Wifi was very slow, only good for sending an e-mail, but not for browsing.
Friendly staff, clean room Very small, window up high so could not see out. Felt claustrophobic.
everyone so very friendly and welcoming just the location - hotel situated accross from large industrial factory -
A little cold (both the room and the cafeteria)
Friendly staff who responded to our need for a meal when we arrived at 10.00pm! Comfortable room, bed and bathroom. Easy and free parking. Only 10 minutes from the airport (allow 20 mins during rush-hour) Bedroom wall was a bit thin and we could hear the conversations and television from the guest next door. Breakfast does not start until 8.00am making it too late for anyone with an early departure time for business or flights.
There wasn't climatisation in the rooms and it was very stuffy that we had to open the window, but during the hight we have been picked by many mosquitos...
The price for breakfast:-orange juice, 2 slices of sliced already buttered bread, and coffee= 5 euros!!!!!!!!!!!
All the staff were very helpful.
We were wlcomed in a most friendly manner. The service was generally very good and all staff most obliging. I will keep it in my list of hotels for holiday stop overs and recommend it to others.
Very clean and compfortable room! The rooms are a little cold because it has central heating so you can not control it from the room.
The friendly helpful staff
The seaview from the room
Very quiet, room facing the sea which was very well cleaned every day, we were able to get something to eat at any time and were always served by friendly efficient staff. All in all, an excellent hotel.
Everything was ok. I like this hotel.
Location, fitness club
The position is fantastic and the views are superb! The cafeteria is very good for breakfast, etc. The decor is dated now and could really do with a complete revamp. The fridge/minibar is noisy and had to be turned off each night for sleep. There was a lot of transmitted noise, but this is the constrution method of the building; and the doors do not kill any sound from the tappy wood floors in the corridor. Previously there was carpet which did help. BUt all in all it was fine!
Good location, pleasant staff, pleasant dining/breakfast/cafetaria, good gym and pool, excellent value for money No
the tranquility. the bathroom, very small.
Great location, great rooms with wireless and plasma tv's, nice hotel staff and well worth the price. Un hotel de buen precio, localidad excelente, tenía una habitación fabolosa con un tv de plasma y wifi, además el personel era muy amable. Nothing! Nada!
It was close to a big shopping centre and the bus and train stations! Services were good It was a good bit away from the town centre, althoguh a bus did run from the next street into the town!
clean and close to shopping area no parking, far from the center, very busy area
Convenient location. Could walk to Michelin restaurant and El Corte Ingles. Bed not too comfortable.
Nice, clean, centric, good breakfast, all new, very kind and helpfull stuff
Convenience of location, helpfulness and friendliness of staff, cleanliness of room
Excellent value for the money. The rooms were well kept and quite spacious for the price. The free high speed internet service is definitely appreciated. Though the hotel may not be in the heart of the city, it is a short distance by foot (< 20 minutes). Public transportation is readily accessible and taxis are easily hailed. If smoking bothers you, be sure to ask for a smoke-free room
Location, new, modern and clean rooms.
