Location (albeit surrounded by building works). Large room. Good breakfast. Nice view of the harbour. Free parking. Decor of room very old and in need of updating. Bar closed early or not open at all.
Friendly staff, nice room the floor in my room was dirty
Nothing in particular. Too much building work and early morning noise from workers and machines.
Breakfast, Internet Access. No evening meal, building works nearby - obviously this will finish eventually.
Good location of hotel. Bathroom outdated. Bed should be renewed, i.e. a new topmatress. Worn out carpet.
The hotel has a very good location old hotel
Relatively value for money. Very serviceminded staff.
Our first night in Danmark was not so nice. One bed was missing. Parking ???,
I often stayed at this hotel few years ago and i liked it much. I did not like cleanliness and cold room during my last visit. People I know had the same experience regarding dirty rooms veared carpets, etc.
Good breakfast Room was 100% "seventies" angst (=soviet suburb style) and painting the walls white, changing textiles black and adding paper leaflets saying "keep smiling" is a bad joke to cover for the lack of style and comfort. No fridge, no kettle... Parking was very limited and made worse by the fact that most cars on the small lot had no required permit, leaving no space for the paying visitors with permits. Staff did not speak very good english. Different foods ran out on breakfast on both days (juice, coffee, milk, fruit... you name it!). The breakfast room was noisy and crowded - the buffet was ill organized.
Location is fantastic, right next to the town center of Aalborg and the rooms were basic but comfortable. Yes, On booking my room online I was given the impression that the Hotel provided parking, which was one of the reasons for my choice. How ever on checking in I was told by the uninterested receptionist that I could park in the Shopping mall car park. I asked how much it would be for the night, she said "I don't know". When asked if she would find out, she said "no"! very disappointing! so if you intend to drive to the hotel then be prepared to pay 150 euros per day for parking!
Absolutely the best budget hotel I have ever stayed in. It is perfect for business people, has free internet, good desk to work at and free coffe and tea in the room. Very central location for shopping and restaurants. Why pay more than the double to stay at Scandic or other hotels ?
The location is excellent, just in the city center but still in a quiet area. All shops are within a few meters walk,
The location is good, the price too The hotel was still under construction (heavy works!) so it was dirty everywhere and walls&floors had unfinished look, giving an overall unpleasant experience. The rooms are miniature - even most airplanes have bigger lavatories!
The room and the toilet were not properly cleaned.
The building is very large, yet the rooms are ridiculously small - so there are quite a lot of tiny rooms, and the occupancey, at least during my stay, was very low. I doubt if they can ever get full occupancy in all these rooms. So why not divide this new complex into fewer but larger rooms??
It's near to the city center, so I can vistit the city easily. I think the bed in the room is small.
Location, cleanness, basic needed facilities, friendly staff. It was ok for one night stay. Still the price might be lower for such a basic hotel room. It was not easy to find an exit from the corridor of the room floor, I was not only one who walked long corridors around to find the exit door. There was only tea, no coffee in the room. One light was installed wrongly, so it was on so long the door card/key was inserted. But these are just small things, not bad stay at all.
Staff very good and friendly. very close to water, shops, and all the sights of the old town. Rooms well designed and very well set out, and with a window that opens for a bit of fresh air and gull calls. Not at all.
The parking machine below the building would not accept our parking ticket nor our credit card. For a whole hour we were held prisoners not able to get out. Several kind Danes tried to help us but in vain. Finally a man who works with the parking area was called from his homeand he was able to get us out.Even if we had been able to get our car out immediately it would have been almost impossible to get back to the Cabinn desk for a 1/2 price refund. We now look back on that experience as a way to remember Aalborg. And yes, we know that the Cabinn location is not a permanent one. We hope to return some day.
absence of even a shower cubicle, only a slot in the floor; all information within the hotel was on danish
Friendly staff, efficient check in and check out. Hotel is right next door to an industrial complex. The decor is quite dark and 1960's. Thee are over 100 rooms but only 1 elevator which only takes maximum 4 people. Single room was very small and toilet and shower could have been cleaner (the toilet was not clean and had not been flushed when I arrived). The cost was quite high for what is really a low budget mediocre establishment and I would not stay there again.
friendly stuff, nice price
Hotel and staff ok, price ok, value for money Everything ok
big room, comfortable bed, free wifi. poor shower
Location is pretty good.. Close to the city centre and the high way.. The bathroom facilities, (poor shower)
Rooms are confortable, and breakfast is good. Most of the personal is very nice. The bathroom is a little too small. Internet is free, but in reception you must remind them (be careful, some people in reception try to charge you!!)
Good value for money. The room was clean and I had no issues during my stay at all. Good heating. Decent internet for free. Water pressure in the shower was somewhat on a lower side (nothing critical, but still not the best). Location is convenient (close to the city center, walkable all around, easy getting to bus and train terminals) - but right now it's right next to huge construction (Nordkraft, new waterfront, Opera), and starting sometime after 6 AM it becomes noisy. Go there in three years though, it'll be a prime place to stay.
Basic but clean. Showers in 2 of the 3 rooms where not very good.
free wifi, walking distance to centre very basic room, small bathroom
