Pros: Stunning very comfortable room. Excellent host great breakfast. Enjoyed a good dinner.
Pros: Breakfast outside in the sun was perfect!
Pros: Corné was an amazing host for us during our stay in Drenthe. We were only planning to stay for 2 nights, but had a family emergency and needed to stay in the area for longer over Christmas. The Barnyard was planning to close over Christmas but after hearing our situation opened up for us for two extra nights. We really appreciated the hospitality we received during a difficult time. The rooms were big and newly renovated and the breakfast was excellent, something a little different each day. You do need a car to get there and to get around in Drenthe, but it is a beautiful area surrounded by farmland.
Pros: Attractive spacious room with views over the fields: rural chic decor; peaceful surroundings; most obliging host; beautifully presented breakfast. Liked the outdoor seating area.
Cons: A luggage rack/ stand would have been useful. Suitcases directly on the floor is not so pleasant especially for a 3 days stay. A suggestion: ECO-credetials could be improved by moving away from Single-Use mini-PLASTIC bottles for toiletries and milk for coffee.
Pros: We liked the location, very quiet and peaceful. The place is spotless.
Pros: Alles was perfect!
Pros: The B&B is in a very quit place. The place is an old farm house on the outsite but on the insite it is very modern, stylish and nice building. The rooms are big with a very nice modern bathroom with all comfort. Breakfast is with local products, fresh warm buns and all served with lots of attention. Most certainly a place to go back to
Pros: Alles was tip top in orde!

Pros: Great hospitality, very good breakfast, super clean. Room is beautifully decorated!!!
Pros: Loved staying at this beautiful b and b. Anita is an amazing host, we felt very welcome, the accommodations were lovely and the breakfast s were delicious!
Pros: The house is build in a rustic way, but still keeping the modern comfort. The location is very nice in a traditional village.
Cons: The owners have too many rules. They almost kicked us off because we didn't say that we have a small kid even if he is sleeping in the same bad with us and the payment was done 1 week in advance. In their opinion we should booked another room for a 2 years old kid. Also they are not flexible with the check-in hour.
Pros: The hospitality, friendliness and client orientation.
Pros: The property was beautifully converted into very comfortable rooms. There was plenty of parking space. The grounds were lovely with plenty of different seating areas. The rooms had been very thoughtfully designed and were beautifully light and bright. There was an armchair each as well as a table with two chairs. The provision of a Nespresso machine was a nice touch and there were plenty of supplies. The cupboard also contained DVDs and games. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very nicely done and there were thoughtful touches like a magnifying make-up mirror and hairdryer. We were warmly welcomed by Anita who made us a coffee and also gave us some apple cake. She gave us suggestions of places to eat in the evening and places to visit in the surrounding area. Breakfast was served in our room - it wasn’t quite warm enough to eat outside, although that would be a possibility. There was a great selection of food with fruit juices made from homegrown fruit and yogurt served with homemade fruit compote, fresh fruit, a basket of a variety of warm breads, a selection of ham and cheese and eggs and bacon cooked to order - it really set us up for the day.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
Pros: This was, by far, the nicest place we stayed in our trip to The Netherlands.

Pros: Aaccessability of THE gedroom was hazardous. Bathroom to compact
Pros: Friendly, helpful, Fabulous staff. The breakfast was extraordinary. Comfortable, clean, impeccable ...
Pros: Great stay! I was travelling for work and the room felt really like home. I got a warm welcome and some explanation about the room. Walking distance from the b&b there was a nice restaurant with a good menu. The breakfast included in my stay was amazing. It was a 3-course breakfast and they lit the fire, had nice music, there is no better start of the day! Would definitely stay here again.
Pros: wonderful three-course breakfast!
Cons: hardly any lights or signs in the driveway - but that's the only thing
Pros: Really nice owners, perfect location and breakfast. Design of the place itself is amazing.

Pros: Great self-contained apartment with kitchen/diner and stairs to bedrooms and very nice bathroom with big shower and bath, restaurant/bar within walking distance. Lovely host who set out breakfast in the garden. Good value, nice stay.
Pros: Evert thing was good
Pros: I don´t usually give a 10 rating but this time I have to. There is always a big difference between a big hotel and a small place that the actual owners work at. We had a great time! After arrival, Pierre (the owner) and his wife showed us all arround and welcomed us really nicely. We stayed in this little house that was fully equipped and had everything you need for a weekend or short stay. The bed we slept in was probably the most cozy one we ever had. Wi-Fi was good. And the breakfast... where do I even start. There were so much to choose from, everything was fresh and really tasty. Want to have a breakfast to bed? No problem, just say it. After check-out, we even got a snack pack for our trip home and a bottle of wine as a gift. If you´re looking for an amazing, quiet place to spend your time, this is a place to be. If we ever come back to this area by chance, this is our #1 option. Thank you!
Pros: We chose B&B Gees in order to visit the fantastic Beelden In Gees art garden just down the road, well worth the trip. We slept in the garden chalet room with the traditional high bed in the cupboard, and a nice terrace. Breakfast with the other guests was very good, lots of fresh stuff. Gees village is lovely.
Cons: The garden room is a bit small, but in good weather you can open the doors and sit outside anyway. The bed could be hard to climb into if you're a bit older, best choose one of the other rooms then.
Pros: The owners were very warm, welcoming and helpful. They even knew all the good places nearby (and further away). Breakfast was nice and fresh and together with the other guest(s). The bed was SUPER COSY and even large enough for my length (6"1' / 1.86 m). Sleeping in the snug tiny house was a new experience and the terrace was even super cosy in the evening. We were also provided with the opportunity to buy some extra refreshments for a friendly price.
Cons: There was a big autumn storm at night which caused the fence attached to the outside wall to make noise - but if there hadn't been a storm it wouldn't have been a problem.

Pros: The host , Ingrid, brought me breakfast every morning directly in the room! She was varying the breakfast and included only quality or hand made products - really lovely! The room is spacious and the bathroom clean. Ingrid is very flexible...Few times I sent her msgs late in the evening to ask her if I could have breakfast either earlier or later in the morning and she always accommodated my requests. No problems to park my car... at any time! To my surprise, I discovered that Orvelte is a cute authentic village to visit. I was interviewing few of the shops owners... and one really impressed me: the baker! The lady welcomed me with the biggest and warmest smile and was glad to tell me something about the shop... and their apple pie (which is apparently constantly sold out!) Walking through the village feels like going back in the history. A unique experience.
Cons: My only remark is about the WiFi connection that continued to drop every now and then. This was annoying as I was there for a course and I could not connect during the evenings, as much as I wished, to use my pc.

Pros: A lot of space which allowed to either work or relax as you like it. Extensive breakfast, very kind host
Pros: Hosts were very personable and hospitable. They served great breakfast, and were keen to fulfill personal wishes. On-site parking. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: Lighting downstairs was minimal and insufficient to read. The staircase was rather steep; therefore luggage had to stay downstairs. Proper bathroom door would offer more privacy.
Pros: Wonderfully comfortable bed and superb breakfast.
Pros: The privacy you can have if needed.
Pros: Unbelievable spread for breakfast and customized for specific needs. Very hospitable host and helpful with things like renting bikes and maps and things to do in the area.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Pros: Very nice overall experience in the countryside.

Pros: Location, cleanliness and hospitality were very, very good
Pros: The house is cute, it has everything you need
Cons: The beds, uncomfortable, breakfast cheap.
Pros: Owners, attitude, the place.
Cons: There was a vhs player but no vhs tapes. You can forgive this in 2019. Everything else was perfect.
Pros: The owners had made every effort to make this an up-to-date accommodation like a home from home. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and served in a quaint and fascinating room.

Children's theme park Plopsaland is 18 kilometres away and TT Circuit Assen is 25 kilometres. Guests can go hiking and cycling in the surrounding area of the property.
Pros: We only stayed for 1 night and booked on short notice. The hotel was really nice. The room was big enough for 4 people (2 kids). The breakfast selection was small but really nice.
Cons: The after the showers, the air at the bathroom was a bit damp. The vent should be running more time. Was ok for one night.
Pros: Very friendly staff. The restaurant is open from 12h to 20h. The vegetable wrap and chocolate dessert were delicious! The village is small but very beautiful. Family friendly hotel. Big parking space.
Cons: I would like to suggest the owner to put a soap in the bathroom. The rooms are upstairs and no elevator, so not so good for people with mobility problems.
Cons: Steep stairs to upper rooms. Would be very difficult or impossible for elderly people

The nature reserve was the first European Geopark and the area is popular for walking. Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen is 15 km from Spabron, while Giethoorn is 43 km from Spabron Hesselerbrug.
Pros: friendly staff, quiet location and nice spa facillities, kettle in room
Cons: Food was a bit expensive
Pros: Friendly staff, good shower.
Cons: Hot room, lots of roadside noise from 5am, smelly carpet
Pros: Friendly, cosy, not so crowded, good food, relaxing atmosphere, nice design
Cons: Not a great view from the room, beds were not so comforteble
Pros: Coffee was ok and breakfast was very basic. Bread was very fresh though. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, be prepared for nothing to see around there and no decent restaurant open within 20 mins drive away. 3 local restaurants were closed when i was there. Will not stay again
Cons: Because there is a spa in the hotel, phones are not allowed to be used anywhere in the hotel except your bedroom. If that was stated on the booking.com profile, I would never have stayed here. This is only a hotel to go to if you want peace, quiet and no connection to the outside world. Not at all suitable for business travellers
Pros: We stayed one night, but were able to enjoy the wellness center for two whole days. The room was basic but comfortable. Good WiFi. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We felt welcome and we definitely would come back!
Cons: Breakfast was good, but a little overpriced. A menu in English would be useful, since the lady at the restaurant does not translate it willingly. The TV signal is not very strong, but we didn't really use it.
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent food, cosy room, nice spa
Pros: I liked the rural location of the hotel, being surrounded by green fields and not much else. The spa facilities of the hotel were great but we had no idea that swimming suits are not allowed, and neither are kids! We are new to the Netherlands, so it was our first at a unisex naked spa. Thankfully the hotel was kind enough to take our kid even though they don't usually accept children. She sat quietly coloring while watching us in the jacuzzi and a whole bunch of naked people sauntering around.
Cons: I didn't like the room much -- it was an attic room with a small window and there was a lot of heat in the room. We visited on a very hot summer weekend and there was nothing more than a fan to cool it down. The pillow and mattress were also quite uncomfortable. The overall feel of the room was more like a budget hotel. We felt that the room was too expensive for 100 euros a night. As mentioned, it's important to know that the hotel is an all-naked spa hotel. Most of the people staying there or going to the spa are older people. Kids are not allowed so definitely not a child-friendly place. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room and it's 10 euros per person per night. You'll also need to have a car here as there is only one restaurant within walking distance.
When you stay at Het Witte Veen in Witteveen, you'll be in a national park and 6 minutes by car from Orvelte Village Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Big bathroom
Cons: Not clean room,no travel options, no shops..
Pros: friendly staff and a nice breakfast in a rural location. The evening meal was presented well and tasted good.
Cons: we waited for over 15 minutes at reception but nobody came to see us. there was no bell to call for assistance. the bar was near the reception but again nobody was serving. (it seems at meal times all staff are working in the dining room)we where given room number 5 right near the reception door. there is no view only of a wall. the reception door banged shut constantly and was very annoying. the room itself is in desperate need of upgrading. the evening meal menu had limited choice for vegetarians and nothing for vegans and was expensive.
Pros: The hotel is nice and quite, the beds are comfortable, the size of the rooms are medium, the view from my window was very pleasant, the breakfast was very good, and plenty, light buffet style, but what exceed our expectations was the staff, they are wonderful people, you really feel welcome at their facilities, everyone greet you with an smile, the area perfect for biking, pleasant and neat roads, if you like peace and tranquility, this hotel is your place!
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Even the children enjoyed the stay. Dogs welcome. We spent a very nice weekend.
Cons: No comments, we were very happy.

Pros: Very friendly personnel and the breakfast was good.
Cons: The bedroom/ bed was OK for one night but was a little outdated. Very steep stairs to bedrooms, however a chair lift was available.
Pros: Location was fantastic. Well presented and close to everything we needed/wanted to be.
Cons: Small bath towels, very noisy rooms. Walls are all from hardboard. quite old hotel needs to have a renovation.
Pros: The room was very clean and tidy .
Cons: The Very awkward high staircase. Also The Owners could be a little bit more flexible and helpful Also for international travelers like us . The town and also The Hotel do not have Master card not Visa available . The weekends there is in this town only one ATM , that is in the local supermarket , Open until 5-30 on Saturdays and closed on Sundays . We did not have a car which made it at times difficult , so a point to be aware of .
Pros: Small, friendly hotel in charming rural village, and with beautiful countryside around. Good cycling and walking. Hotel and restaurant are fine but do not expect “Big city chique”. There is a stair chair-lift because the stairs to 1st floor are narrow and steep. Quiet setting.
