Pros: This place is very nice but very organic in style. Just the basics and room small. We had a nice stay and the hostess was very charming. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the cattle grazing out of our window but this is off beaten path but worth it if you enjoy the countryside. It is a working farm so it brought back childhood memories. We sat by a warm fire in the stove while we ate a great breakfast.
Cons: Couldn’t get wi-fi to work even though another guest could.
Pros: i love this place! and my family, especially my 2 years old daughter loved the farm very much. the hostess is very nice to prepare supper and breakfast for us, even though i don't reserve. after breakfast , the hostess represent how the farm runs , it is very good for our trip.very appreciate! rooms are very very clean, we can see the cow outside. very nice scienery, and the owners disigned the whole building and we can feel the passion everywhere. and the farm do a very job in their social responsibility , like small students comes and grows vegetables everyweek. Liana, would you like to recieve some pics with us? tell me your email.
Cons: too perfect.
Pros: Warm welcome, excellent organic food & wine, quiet and comfortable rooms, nicely decorated in a modern style that fits just fine with the farm environment. Superb terrasse with a view on the fields and sunset. Numerous interactions with the landlords Liane & John, and our kids loved helping in the farm (special kudos to feeding the baby veals!).
Cons: I really don't see what could be better. One of the best places we have stayed ever!
Pros: location room quality nature
Cons: breakfast could have been better
Pros: Wonderful peaceful location in easy reach of small towns and close to the German border. It is a straw bale and wood house with natural sheep wool ceilings. Everything is natural with natural latex mattresses and pure cotton sheets. The farm is organic and we breakfasted on delicious home cured ham and salt beef amongst a superb array of Dutch breakfast choices with fresh eggs, breads, cheese, yogurt, orange juice and coffee. Lianne and John are welcoming hosts delighted to tell us all we wanted to know about their eco and organic lifestyle. We would definitely stay again if we were visiting and highly recommend the Biotel.
Pros: Wonderful farm with cows, cats, pigs, and chickens. We were encouraged to see the animals and had a great time interacting with them. Cheese making facilities and farm store onsite. The owners Liane and John were really friendly. The rooms were really clean and comfortable.
Cons: The room was a little small but it wasn’t unpleasant.
Pros: friendly place , nice rooms
Pros: We could feel there like home.
Pros: The quiet atmosphere was great, between the farmer's animals and the wide meadow view. Also the properties owners were very kind and dedicated.
Cons: The breakfast was rather expensive and the building is a bit noise sensitive.
Set in Bredevoort, Hotel Bertram has a restaurant, terrace and free WiFi. All guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a TV with cable channels. All rooms feature a wardrobe. Enschede is 43 km from Hotel Bertram, while Zutphen is 46 km from the property.
Pros: A charming and well kept small restaurant in a lovely old building, the bedrooms are in a separate slightly newer building at the rear, and they're to a very good standard as well. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, sitting at a table out the front under trees in the quiet square, and the food and service were as good as they could be too, in fact all the staff were excellent. The best thing though was the little town where Hotel Bertram is situated, it's one of the neatest and most attractive places we've stayed, most of the shops seem to be bookshops, the place is almost a Dutch Hay on Wye
Cons: Outside the control of the restaurant of course, but small Dutch towns aren't the easiest places to drive, cars come a poor second to bicycles, which effectively have right of way much of the time, and can appear from nowhere. In a small town with narrow streets like Bredevoort, you really need to keep your wits about you.
Pros: It was very good because the purpose was to stay in the book town.
Pros: Very friendly and hospitable.
Cons: Horrible staff, checkout time was at 11 am, they started to bother me at 10. Walking into the room (without knocking!) every 15 minutes, asking me to speed up. At 10.55 the maid showed up again, this time with someone from management, rudely urging me to vacate the room. and they together waited at the door till I leave at 10.59... Breakfast was lousy, some old bread with even older cheese and ham and one cold hard egg. Rooms are 150 meters walking and carrying the luggage from main hotel house / reception, with very limited public parking options at the main house, no parking in the street with the rooms' house. Room was tiny and extremely cold. One cannot lock himself in the room (no door chain or lock from inside) and its entrance faced directly the street (no hall or smthg.) Never again .
Pros: The restaurant is run by the same people as Hotel Bertram. They ask you what time you want breakfast, you show up at the restaurant, and they have a hot boiled egg for you, cheese, bread. Very consistent and friendly in the morning. I used the restaurant as a meeting place when people came to pick me up, etc. The staff was very cordial in helping me have a comfortable stay of several days.

Pros: The staff is very kind, they help me also to print some documents. Availability and kindness over the top:-)
Cons: I could not sleep. The walls are paper an you hear everything from neighbour. On top the matress is so old I got backpain.
Pros: Erik the owner was so helpful and friendly to us. We had a lovely dinner in the garden on our first evening. Idyllic surroundings. Free bicycles
Cons: Fridge in the log cabin would have been nice
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff
Pros: Great value for money, quiet relaxed location. Well furnished rooms, spacious. Friendly owners. This place should stay a secret.
Cons: Cash only, not very convenient.

Pros: Our last minute reservation was no problem. Great room, excellent breakfast, huge garden for relaxation in the evening, fantastic location. Very welcoming host. Perfect!

Pros: As a quick stop never had chance to really explore but this was a perfect stop for a long weekend! A must for anyone wanting to maybe wander across boarders and see what Holland and Germany are really about! A lovely atmosphere and perfect for families or even friends looking for a get away, as the night life seemed pretty good on the Saturday night!
Pros: It was very delicious and even the Eggs were still hot, we've been the only 2 guests this morning for breakfast and found more than enough and all we could imagine.
Pros: EVERYTHING! this is absolutely one of the best small hotels in Holland. the restaurant is wonderfull in everyway. cosy and very delicious food with a variaty of wines. the room is much bigger than normal small hotels and modern furnished. the bathroom is large and very clean. the parking is ot a proble and free. Remi is a great guy who tries his best to make you feel at home. thank you very much for everything and I will absolutely come back
Pros: Superb food. Very limited menu as every thing was fresh and well prepared, rather than have lots of dishes and it be frozen. Will go back just for the dinner and the coffee komplete dessert was amazing
Cons: Would be nice to have tea and coffee in the room. Wider choice of cereals for breakfast but that is a small thing.
Pros: Walking distance from the train station and easy with Google maps. Great little hotel in the town square, staff speak English and English menus are available on request. Bar is well stocked and always has a local beer option and the food is fresh and very well prepared
Cons: Staircase to the room is tight and very steep. There is a lift if you need it. The locals like to sit out in the covered area outside the bar to eat, smoke and chat and they get rather upset if you are taking a mobile phone call when they are eating. Fair enough I guess.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our time a lot.
Cons: Only the room was too cold as the heating didn’t work (turned off as already April)
Pros: Staff was very professional, friendly and helpful.

Pros: Beautiful location and accommodation! Very friendly and welcoming people.
Pros: Perfect breakfast
Cons: Came late and not possible to eat around
Pros: Attractive rural location, in historic setting. Good wet room for shower. Very good bread at breakfast. Only about 2.5 miles from nearby town, with cycle path.. Restaurant/pancake house
Cons: Limited storage in room - no drawers in desk , Only one small wardrobe. Had a lot of kit, some of which had to be left on the floor. No lift, and room was on first floor with very steep stairs so moving heavy suitcase was a problem
Pros: Large room, with modern walk in shower. peaceful but attractive country side location about 2.5 miles from Groenlo, with adjacent museum and brewery. Did not use restaurant and pancake house, but very good bread and fruit compote at breakfast
Cons: Would have liked more clothes storage in room as only one wardrobe and no drawers, so had to leave some clothes lying on floor. Steep stairs to first floor and no lift, so heavy luggage a bit of a struggle
Pros: The location is excellent, very nice terraces, great outdoors, nice and friendly people. Good beds, new bathrooms
Cons: Our room was rather small
Pros: Spotless new rooms with silent air conditioning. Comfy beds, mosquito netting on the windows. Great value. I wish all hotel rooms were this comfortable.

Pros: The staff at hotel were friendly and the breakfast was good although I wonder if there could be another choice of fruit juice - maybe apple and a jug of water too. The morning staff were very helpful at breakfast time. The room was large and toilet/shower room adequate. Room was very warm on arrival so put the standing fan on and had to open the windows. Room was quiet once the trains were not running. There is a nice terraced area outside to the side of hotel but beware the bugs at night as I you may get bitten. The walk to the hotel to the city centre is about 10-15 minutes away if you turn right on leaving the hotel and then left over the railway line and up to the centre.
Cons: We could see that the hotel was near the railway line which is ok but as room was very warm and the fan was too noisy on 2nd setting but not cool enough on first setting so we had the window open and trains do run fairly late (after midnight) and the first one I heard was around 5.30 a.m. as I looked at my clock when I heard it.
Cons: The roof of my room was too low for my heigth
Pros: Good value for money, friendly staff.
Cons: So close to the railway.
Pros: Quiet , comfortable place with nice people
Pros: Clean and typically Dutch
Cons: Opposite train tracks but no noise at all.
Pros: Everyone was very helpful, I arrived very late and had to leave early to catch my flight. The manager was kind enough to drive me to the station early in the morning and help me buy a ticket. Above and beyond what was required.

Cons: the second night was a party going on with heavy music till 1 am , staff did tell us about that but a heavy music private party and a quiet hotel location are imho not compatible
Pros: - Really kind staff - Excellent breakfast - Right next to the station - Comfortable beds
Cons: - Bathroom lacks heating. - Walls between rooms are rather thin, so you can hear the person in the next room. - No staff in the evenings (or at least not Monday evenings)
Pros: A little pricey for a room that was badly in need of refurbishment and modernisation. The breakfast offered was excellent however with a good choice. Staff are very nice and welcoming. The decor within the restaurant is absolutely outstanding.
Cons: The room needs modernisation and refurbishment.
