9.5 Excellent
Pros: Countryside, very calm! Traditional & clean rooms! Friendly hosts! Complete breakfast! Good location near to Kilkenny!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is a gracious and elegant historic mansion on a lovely estate. Quiet and secluded, it was the perfect location for our explorations of Kilkenny and my husband's ancestry near the town of Urlingford. Mary greeted with us fresh-baked scones and tea served in the charming parlor. She was the perfect host, so helpful with a wealth of information about the region. We followed her advice for parking and walking in Kilkenny, and it worked out perfectly. But for her, we never would have found The Hole in Wall with its amazing storyteller. The beds are medium-firm, which was perfect was us. The breakfast included more of Mary's world's-best scones, butter and jams, all offered on beautiful silver serving pieces. This B&B was the perfect end to our Ireland visit. From there, it was an easy drive to Dublin.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing!

The next morning I was welcomed with Jerry’s delicious cooked breakfast including fresh orange juice and homemade bread and Irish breakfast along with beautiful lit candles to look at and the flowers outside the window. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay. It was first time away with my 3 children for 6 nights. (9,8,-1) I can't wait to go again. The staff where so helpful especially Ciara and Claire. The kids loved the restaurant and placing there orders with there waitress. Who where delightful and cheerful making the adventure all the better after long days exploring the local attractions. Dunamase, The Heyford Gardens and the many forest walks. The baby pool was wonderful perfect temperature for my 8 month old and the adult pool is a perfect dept for my older children. Every staff member I met couldn't do enough for me. Especially when I mislaid my card, Ciara at reception helped me set up a Google pay card.
Cons: I didn't notice a local attractions display for the first 2 days. I'd travelled into town to a tourist information centre. Also a few kids books in your library would have been really useful. Would have liked to have taken the kids horse riding but I couldn't find any open.

Pros: Stayed here with my friend for her 50th birthday. Staff couldn’t have been more obliging and friendly. Upgraded us to an executive twin room, gave us towelling g robes + slippers, delivered a lovely hand decorated personalised cake platter as a 50th birthday surprise. The staff were so friendly and obliging. We went out for dinner but breakfast was excellent. The room was perfect, clean and with every extra needed. Would recommend this hotel but especially it’s staff
7.0 Good
Pros: The food in the bar was lovely staff really nice.the waiting staff in the breakfast first morning of our stay were fantastic
Cons: The room was so stuffy no air. Very uncomfortable sleep its not fair to have to spend money staying in a hotel and been reless due to no air in the room. And second morning had to wait awhile to be crossed off the list for breakfast. And then one staff member had cold plates tea was cold. And made like water. And the poor girl that was on before the guy who didnt seem to know what he was doing hadnt got time to attend us with toast as she was filling orders for room service. If you have a good few bus load of guest's put more staff on. And we are just as important as bus guests. We pay to to stay and arnt we just as important otherwise word of mouth dosnt spread in our home of Sydney. I dont like to be mean but i was pee off the 2nd morning at breakfast. Havent been unable to sleep and then bad service at breakfast.

Pros: The location, room and bar food were all excellent.
Cons: The breakfast had a poor selection, I was disappointed that i couldn't get a refund for my partners breakfast. we informed the front desk on check in that she did not want breakfast but they couldn't refund it.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: the restaurant was great plus the bar staff
Cons: swimming pool seemed to have some biofilm growth going on all over floor and walls, hotel staff totally unprofessional and most likely poorly managed, it was fun to watch them but everything seemed like a problem when asked
5.8 Okay
Pros: The facilities were overall good. Reception recommended us the to try the Indian Prince for dinner which was about a 5 min walk from the hotel, and it was some of the best and most authentic Indian food.
Cons: There was no air conditioning in the room, it was very stuffy and hot and we got no sleep. The next morning reception said we could of asked for a fan given that it was so hot. However we wonder why a winter quilt is on the bed during summer and with no top sheet? And maybe knowing how hot it was that maybe reception can let customer know about the option of having a fan put it the room... we are not mind readers.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The vegetarian breakfast is to die for. Delicious
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly
Cons: We notified the hotel that one of the party couldn’t have gluten food but they only had gluten free bread. The hotel was very noisy on Saturday night
4.3 Okay
Pros: The Barman/Receptionist was welcoming and helpful.
Cons: It was extremely dated. First impressions are all important but the stairs was very stained. A shower isn’t a luxury, it is a basic requirement. Ours did not work, neither did the kettle in the bedroom. On checking out, the girl who acted as receptionist lacked social skills. When asked if everything were alright, I told her that the shower didn’t work. She reluctantly said”sorry about that”. I would expect that, from a business point of view, that a reduction in our bill should have been offered, not that I asked for same. The cereals offered were very limited, in either packets or boxes.

The rooms are really spacious and spotless. We also had 4 big bath towels in our room for 2 instead of the standard 2. Little things go a long way

Pros: The lady that owned the property was very welcoming and homely, we were offered a cup of tea on arrival, the room was small but very comfortable. Pros: Prescila was very nice and welcoming. The room has what you need in a nice old house. Tea and coffee was available upon arrival. You can park just outside the house and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
Cons: The house is just on the outskirts of a small town with almost no restaurant options, but Prescila warned us about this.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Priscilla it was very kind. Breakfast was very good
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Heated blankets .
Cons: Strong smell of mold in the room; everything really old, the owner must not like foreigners. We only stayed there because was late in the night and we had a dog with us ;and I did reserved through Booking.com and I was afraid I will be charged in full if we leave to a different place . 80€ for a night was really expensive for those conditions.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved visiting with the owner and her dogs. She was so friendly!
Cons: Everything was very comfortable. The decor was dated but it was like staying with your lovable grandmother.

Pros: Every thing
Cons: Liked everything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Layout and presentation of the hostel is really nice. Feena the person checking me in was very helpful indeed, helping out with parking and making sure the bike was safe, and the other staff were very friendly and chatty
Cons: The two private rooms share a bathroom but they're on different floors, guess there's not too much they can do about that? It's a listed building I think. Would've been nice to have an icebox or freezer for cool blocks but that's a tiny thing really.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room in a fantastically restored building with great staff.
Cons: The road next to the bedroom window was noisy (even with earplugs in).
5.5 Okay
Pros: Simple clean room, very comfortable bed, great shower all very clean.
Cons: The kitchen although modern in appearance was dirty, with layers of grease on every surface.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice building. Got kitchen facilities.Lots of space
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The spirit of the past is always present in this sympathetically renovated former 19th century chapel, but nowadays the building is full of the laughter and conviviality of the hostel guests, not the stern words of a preacher! If you're lucky, you may even catch sight of a ghost!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Paul - our host - was incredibly nice showing us around the facilities when we arrived. The room with private bathroom we booked was great with plenty of space and a great en-suite wetroom. Having been to Mountmellick to visit family everything was right on our doorstep with the hostel being right in the middle of the high street.

Pros: I did not have breakfast as it was at 8 and we were at a party the previous night so we were too tired to wake up early. It was a handy place to stay but it wasn't very close to Portarlington where the party was.
Cons: The glasses in the room were very dusty and didn't look washed properly but everything else was great.
