Hotel heating was stuck on full and the room was extremely warm, the road noise made it impossible to leave the window open, the shower mixer knob was broken and the shower head wouldnt direct over the bath due to worn fitting.
Was given the smallest of rooms, with bed sided by wall. There was no light on the desk, and the single light in the bedroom hall was not sufficient. For th price of the rooms they could offer internet for free. Carpets were durty and smelly all over the hotel. This hotel would certainly do with a massive refurbishment.
I liked the look of the hotel. The friendlyness of the staff holding doors and generally being polite. A+ I stuggled to understand the accent of the front desk workers. We got lost in the hotel a few times, not enough signs from the stairs + lifts to the front desk.

Nice breakfast, good parking, good location just out of the main town Stayed on Floor 2 and had wooden floor above us and all you could hear was creaking noises where other residents were pacing around all night. At least I think that is what they were doing.
The hotel was convenient to the event we were visiting (Patchetts equestrian Centre). I was impressed with the comfort of the beds!breakfast was excellent and the bar was good. My husband visited the pool area and found it good Ok. This is not about us, but what we witnessed and overheard whilst checking in. Another customer was complaining about a charge on his room, when he had not bought anything. It was explained that this was in case he used something like room service etc or made any charges on his room. The customer did not understand, and I am afraid that the male receptionist argued with him and it got very heated. Please remind whomever it was that the customer is always right and just say I am sorry. The charge was taken off but the customer was very upset and quite rightly. We were also charged but our female receptionist explained it well......
The restaurant staff were outstanding, warm & friendly, and genuinely eager to serve. The dinner was also good value for 17 pounds, and the breakfast was superb. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed drinking our bottle of wine after dinner in the garden patio. The room was so hot, it was almost impossible to sleep. Never stayed at a Hilton anywhere in the world that didn't have ac. And the parking lot and street outside were very noisy, with a lot of screeching tires and gunning motors. The wireless provided by bt is also greatly over-priced.
Room very good, breakfast very good Wrong price charged at checkin, but corrected on production of paperwork.....bar prices very high, no bar snacks, no draught beer, no ice. There was a party night in the hotel, when we arrived back from an external event we were met by a police van hauling fellow guests out of the hotel......

The Jurys Inn Watford was lovely and warm. We asked for a quiet room and got it. It was lovely and clean basic but bed was very comfortable. Bath was very clean and I had a daily bath - a practice I would not usually do in hotels. I found the bath small but more comfortable than my own one at home which is very large - it just moulded to the shape of the body. I thought shower rail with semi circle gave a lot more room in the shower. We also ate most of the time in our room for convenience as we were over for a family wedding and it suited us to rest between functions. Reception was very nice, but one of the barmen referred to my husband Noel as you lot - the Irish - which would be a very racist comment!! Staff did not seem to know anything we asked them - they had to look everything up on the web - even what terminal the flight to Ireland went from when taxi was waiting. I think Jurys should have a chart of terminals for all countries from which they have clients and it could be posted in reception area thus obviating necessity for asking in the first place.
The staff went OUT OF THER WAY to be accommodating, helpful, friendly and generally go "above and beyond" to provide outstanding customer service. Deputy Manager Rob was wonderful as was Ellie and the rest of the staff!!!!!! I also would like to compliment the wait-staff at the breakfasts--they were AMAZING--couldn't do enough for us...every morning and every day of our stay. Jury's Inn is to be commended on their staff training and customer service policy!!! The room assigned to us left a lot to be desired. The room we PAID for an upgrade for, was much, much better.

The staff werre very professional and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the room very spacious. There was no parking at the hotel although once you had found the nearby parking it wasn't too bad.The bar food and drinks were rather expensive.

this was our 2nd visit to Jurys inn.. we have family living in watford so it was a perfect base while we visited. the location is lovely and the high street in watford has everything we needed.
The breakfast was a 10/10 night staff on reception left us waiting for entry into the hotel, until he had finished a phone call. Barman ignored us when we tried to order food and drinks and served a customer who had obviously been in the bar all night giving tips to the staff! Night staff were very poor to say the least!

It is a beautiful hotel, the staff were helpful, and the room clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The service at dinner was exceptionally slow, we had to remind waiters of items we ordered.

Excellent location close to airport. Very quiet and comfortable room with good shower. Complimentary breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients .On a freezing cold weekend, the hotel was very warm and cosy. Whilst dinner was of acceptable quality, the menu was perhaps overpriced because of the captive market. I do resent paying £5.90 for a glass of not very good wine.
Hotel is very near to airport and i was satying to pick up some friend of mine and it became very easy for me .

It's less than 15 minutes walk to Luton Airport The bed in the first room they gave me apparently hadn't been changed from the last occupant since it contained several long black hairs. I asked for a different room and was given one, but this changeover ate into the five hours sleep I was already limited to and should not have been necessary.
Room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. Lobby/bar area was cold, was freezing outside but maybe heating could've been turned up.
We arrived late and the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave an excellent service. Location very good. 24-hour bar a great asset. Room was much too small, very clostrophobic. We stayed in room nbr 106 (ground floor), window faced the car park and we had no privacy - only if the curtains were drawn. Curtains were damaged and did not close properly. Price of gbp 79 far too high for these standards.
Location for airport. Good bar and restaurant area unusual for an Ibis. Usual Ibis cleanliness.. Watch out for the pricing policy. The published rate is a fiction. Always book in advance to fix the rate.

Friendly staff at the reception. Within 10 minutes' walk from the Luton airport. We sat at the hotel restaurant table for 20 minutes without even being noticed by the staff. And oh yes, we tried everything except shouting. They just walked on by, so we left to dine elsewhere. The Internet tv image resolution was lousy and the tv channels did not show properly (antenna or cable defect?)

The hotel itself is grand and beautiful with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. We loved pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere in the lounge with the fire burning. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were great. The jacuzzi had the most powerful jets and we thoroughly enjoyed being the only guests that afternoon as they only just opened the pool. The walk around the hotel is lovely with the secret garden making it more attractive.
There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom and bedroom to make up. Please please allow pets!
Every aspect was ideal for the peaceful, luxurious and celebratory stay for which we were looking. The management of the restaurant seemed to leave something to be desired. Whilst the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous, many of them appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as if they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. Further, there must surely be something to be said for guests to be allocated tables for the duration of their stay, rather that allocated haphazardly at each meal.
The restaurant in the hotel, The Wernher, was superb. The food was totally excellent. Worth every penny! The service was very good too. The hotel itself is beautiful , inside and outside. The grounds are lovely. When i booked, i was given the impression that the room would have views of the grounds,as that was part of the room description. But we were given a room that was far away from the grounds and below the ground floor. But the room itself was gorgeous.

Luton Hoo is a superb hotel The staff are excellent and very professional the buildings impressive and the dining rooms spectacular .. we did not play golf but we did think the course looked very boring ...the spa was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and extremely spacious We had a room in the coach house [ an ungrade not asked for but offered ! ] It was above the pro shop of the golf course and very noisy [ beware ]
For a stately home it had a homely atmosphere.

I liked the main part of the hotel,, restaurant, pool etc The staff could not get the so-called central heating to work. It looked more like an air conditioner. There was a moveable electric radiator, but they are dangerous to use at night

The fact I booked and paid for 3 twin rooms at the same time, one for us, one for my parents, one for my son. It was our treat for my parents as it was my son's graduation. 3 times my father was told that his room had not been paid for and was asked how he was going to pay.
Everything was bad, rooms dirty, rooms to hot, room service poor, staff unhelpful and miserable looking, no vegitarian dishes, harldly any drink at the bar.

The room that I had was too warm and I was unable to cool it without increasing the traffic noise from the busy road outside. Plumbing noises were all I needed for an early morning call and that was with ear plugs in situ! The mattress offered had broken spring metal hanging out of it and the cover was ripped The breakfast menu had two types of sausage offered and I asked for the Cumberland sausage, the three that I was offered in no way resembled the said sausage at all.
Reception staff were friendly and help out on a couple of occaisions when i needed. A bit out of the way from shopping centre / train stations and airport, with no transport to either. Taxi's were required for every situation.

Location is good for its communication links to London. Dining experience was good, as was the Bar service. The general condition of the interior of the hotel is ' tired ' and could do with a make over. Some of the staff need to work on their ' people skill's ' and smile alittle more often. I booked two rooms for my family. After checking in and being issued with the key cards, we found one of the rooms was still being lived in by another occupant. ( All their personal property, clothes, valuables and lap-top computer still in the room. ) Very poor security. We had to return to reception to organise another room, which was subsiquently on a different floor. Overall very poor value for money considering my final bill. ( The equivilant of a week in Spain.!. )

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I had no trouble with having to kept medication in their fridge and freezer blocks in the freezer. The 'hot' selection at breakfast was cold and there could have been more selection in the hot range e.g. tomatoes, baked beans.
Room only had been set up for one person and when i rang down to ask for a mug so my partner could have a cup of coffee, which was also limited, i was told to go to reception to get one. Check in was slow as receptionist was also serving at the bar and we had to wait a while to check in. Car parking was very limited and this is not advertised on the description of the hotel.

Small portions, and cold! i stayed in one of the best rooms in the hotel, and the bedspread was heavily soiled. tv stations not all working. as people are eating their expensive dinners, the hotel wedding co-ordinator likes to show prospective clients around the restaurant (pointing and standing next to tables discussing wedding plans). hotel was over priced by far. I have stayed in better, with bigger bedrooms for far cheaper! will not use again!
The staff are extremely nice, and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. We got upgraded as it was our honeymoon. Dinner in the restaurant was very delicious, but it was a bit expensive for the relatively small portions, and the music was a bit out of place/loud.
the location is superb with lovely grounds backing onto a park and a wealth of ancient roman remains. The hotel buiding itself is a wonderful example of Georgian architecture. The cuisine is excellent but expensive. a party consisting of a high number of young children that monopolised the bar and lounge areas.
Not much really,was good evening as it was a friends 30th birthday party but room was a twin instead of a double which I paid for and the twin beds being put together(which I did myself even though the manager said she would send somebody up to do) were uncomfortable Read above
Bed Comfortable Wedding Party music continued until 1 A.M. This was not made clear when booking, I was not part of the wedding party. This meant that I was unable to sleep until after 1 A.M. The shower rail just fell down. No one was in the bathroom at the time. This rail had a very poor way of securing it to the wall. This meant that the second shower had to be taken without the use of the shower curtain.
Efficiency of booking. Staff welcome, their appearance, general handling of arrival and departure and friendliness Difficulty in finding room from reception and length of walk up and down stairs through what seemed like a maze to get to the room. My car was parked virtually outside the room but to get to it required a 200 yard walk. It was easier to illegally open the fire door! The state of repair of fittings was below standard: bedside light dimmer fell off and the shower control fell off. Water from the shower cascaded over the floor through poor design.
Hotel was fine but be aware that the local rainbow taxi firm ! Rainbow are used by the Hotel and are extremley pricey and appear to be operating at extortonate prices for tourists . A 4 min ride to Rothampsted Manor on the outskirts of Harpenden was charged at 15.00 out ward and then £22.50 return , and that was before midnight !!
The hotel was lovely with friendly staff and clean rooms. I found the bar rather expensive compared to others and as the hotel is out of town you are not really able to go to any other bars. Over all it was a nice stay. Bar prices

Was granted a late checkout which enabled me to complete some important work on my trip. No hotel parking and nearest car park was full on first night of stay. Can park on road outside hotel but have to move car before 8.00am.
Very clean. Friendly staff. Enjoyable stay. Although I booked over the internet on arrival at the hotel there was no booking in my name. Fortunately there was a room available. This was despite the fact that I had a booking reference number. However the receptionist was extremely good and helped me out.
Very clean, good spacious rooms, friendly staff. An all round good experience No dedicated car parking. Had to pay and display for £3 a day. Not a lot but the car park was not well lit and of poor quality. We had to rush our breakfast to get to the car before paying another £3 or risk £100 fine

The room was spacious, the receptionist was helpful and there was a good trainconnectio to the city of London.
The staff was very accomodating in providing assistance in booking a room due to no reservation being received from Booking.com. They initially had only 4 of the 5 nights available but found another nearby site for the 5th night. On the last day, they had a cancellation and were able to cancel the other reservation so we could stay.
Good parking, rooms of good size with large comfortable beds. The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent and good value. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Attention to detail is important. Provision of a toilet brush would be a good thing.

A lovely village pub overlooking the common. Good food and willing service. We had a comfy bed and the hotel was quiet and peaceful at night. Perfect for what we needed. Slight damp smell in room with damp marks on walls in some areas. Shower-head wasn't adjustable.
Checking in was pleasant. Managed to switch rooms from twin to double-- very helpful. Room was old, stale smelling and I questioned why they had many rooms available and other local hotels did not. It is not a £90 per night hotel
