Loved the breakfast house! Adorable, old, clever, delish. Bed felt like it was a little lopsided...like used more on left side than right. But all else wonderful!
The room was clean and comfortable, we were there in the middle of winter and there was an ice storm during our stay and still everything worked, heater was hot, water was hot, the staff was very pleasant and informative, the breakfast was good and had a nice variety of items, I left an item behind and when I called and left a message, my call was returned with 30 minutes and arrangements made to have my item mailed, we would definitely go back and stay there again.
Location, price Small pillow, tight parking spot
It was clean and the staff was friendly Had to pay for internet the room itself was nice but the bathroom was shabby and needed to be updated
Rate was 59.99 up until Wed. night; but because the train show was Thursday to Sunday they changed the rate to 99.99 a night. Not a good way to keep a consumer. I will never stay there again. I have stayed there 3 times a year before- never again- too many motels in your area.
I liked the shampoo they provided. It was dirty, smelled like mildew and cigarettes (understanding I was in a smoking room), the box spring sheets had mold and dirt all over them. As a last minute to I will never go there again and I'll spend the extra $20 to go someplace a bit nicer.
Our toilet overflowed & there was a large amount of water on the floor. We called the desk & the guy told me to come get a plunger & rags to clean it up that he couldn't leave the front desk & housekeeping was sleeping?
It was cheap. Hotel seemed dirty walking through the halls, graffiti in the elevator, hotel staff hung out in the lounge watching tv. Hotel rooms smelled terrible including the halls even for non smoking. Definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel.
The ved was comfortable, and the room was clean. There are holes in the walls, wallpaper is missing in places. We were asked by the housekeeper everyrime we saw her if we were checking out. The roof of the room below us caved in due to some sirt if water damand, There was trash all over their parking lot, and lastly, the police were at the facility 3 times in our 2 night stay.
Staff was pleasant enough, and the price was very low. The room was shabby to say the least, most items had dents and cracks/scrapes. Bathrooms was very dirty, i had to buy flip-flops to feel safe showering. I found pieces of balled up brillow pads scattered around the room, ill allow you to make up your own conclusion for that but. The first room i was given the door did not work. I booked a smoking room, which i have done many times prior at other hotels, this room was by far the worst smelling room i have ever experienced. All of my possessions still smell like an ashtray after a week away from the room. The floorboards in the hallway sway and creak with every step. No price is worth staying in this hotel.
Dirty, over priced, and in a bad part of the town. Why would I?
The location Smelt like stale cigarettes, towel racks kept falling off the wall, the air conditioning did not work
Blue sky is a very friendly motel the way they used to be. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator, 32 in flat screen tv and goats to pet. Swimming pool was closed for the season, swing set for the kids and a large hammock to lay in. Motel is located 10 mins north of Gettysburg and you are away from the insanity of downtown Gettysburg. The bathroom was small but everything worked. All in all a great comfortable economical stay and a backyard deck to sit on.
The place is old, but clean. Worth the price.
Staff was friendly Extremely dirty and far away from town.
Great location. Good price. Wifi didn't work :-\
I cancelled my reservation 12 days in advance and revived a email cancellation confirmation from Expedia. Was still charged by hotel, call the hotel and was told very nasty by the women manager that Expedia never sent confirmation to them, before I could give her any information she told me that it's hotel policy and I would not be getting a refund, to try to get it from Expedia. Expedia call hotel and told them I had conformation of cancellation and that I was due a refund and they claim they never received it. Beware they will charge your card and then say it hotel policy basically stealing your money. Save yourself the trouble and book at the many other hotels in Gettysburg. Everything
Motel was run down, in need of some serious TLC.
The people who operate it The mold / midew odor, the out of date surroundings, stained comforter, stained carpet. The second room was downstairs in what would classify as a basement, complete with cinder block walls. The mildew odor was extreme in this room, but travelling with 5 children and this being the only availible motel I had no alternative. I would certainly not stay here again, nor reccomend it to any one
It's 10 minutes from downtown Gettysburg and is adjacent to a larger set of hotels that were hosting an event we were attending. The maintenance staff seemed friendly, though my interactions with them were limited. AC hadn't had its filter changed since smoking was allowed in the rooms. Turning the AC on made our room smell like cigarette smoke and I had trouble breathing for all three nights of my stay. My nose bled and I woke up hoarse. They charge $10/night/pet--CASH!--and would not give me a receipt at the time of transaction. There was a dead roach on the side of the bed when I first entered the room. Bedding was sparse--instead of a fitted bottom sheet, the bed had 2 top sheets and a comforter that probably hadn't been washed in ages. The comforter had burn holes in it, which suggests it is as old as the appliances in the room. They were also the color of nicotine staining, for what that's worth. The pillows were hard and felt congealed, which is what I would expect of pillows that haven't been changed in ages. The room was not laid out well and it was difficult to get to the sink.
