we were very disappointed that there were no rooms left in the castle, and were put in the guest house, which was about 5mins away from the hotel where we had to go for breakfast.you could not drive very close to the hotel, bad news when its raining!!
Breakfast, dinner menue and envirement
It's a real castle in a small charming town. Room was in a tower built around 1860. Friendly and helpful staff. Small room (twin bed room), no internet
I really don't have a nice thing to say about the hotel. A single person doesn't stay in the castle, you stay way downtown in a very cramped tiny room overlooking mold on someone's garage. The fruit in the room was beyond eating stages, there was no plug in the sink to hold water, the room was way overpriced at 65 Euro, a hostel room would have been much nicer. When I booked, I thought I was actually going to stay in a castle room, not the case, you are no where near the castle, you are in a small room downtown. If you wanted breakfast, you had to go all the way back up to the castle.
very very good~~~
beautiful building, surroundings, nice reception and good restaurant Very steep stairs, difficult to carry your suitcases to the room. room was not comfortable. We had a twin bed and one should climb over the other to get off. We were situated in the tower on one of the upper floors, which is absolutely not recommendable. However we believe there are much better rooms. The room we had (4) was not exactly value for money. Internet worked complicated. Once you are on the internet you cannot watch TV. Summarizing a nice experience but not to be repeated in the room we got.
Very beautiful castle, stayed in the tower. Need to just bring what you'll need to the room since there are some steps up to the rooms. Definitely would be difficult to manage a large suitcase.
Castle restaurant kichen
Very nice place, the staff was excellent. Delicious breakfast! We had also a good meal in the cosy hotel restaurant. Please be aware of that the hotel is an old medieval castle and has no elevatores or special access for disabeled people (at least not in the tower where we stayed). There is somewhat of a walk from the parking to the hotel inside the castle walls and up in the tower. No problems for us, but if you have problems with carrying your own luggage, be aware!
Free apples and bottled water at the room. The breakfast included everything despite it was not a buffet. For those who wants lot of food for dinner, the Wienerschnitzel is recommended. There are only six rooms in the castle, the rest are at the annex (Gasthaus), 100 stairsteps below the castle.
