Generally the room was clean and facilities good .. The matress which you could control was also good . I was dissapointed that their was no room in the Hilton car park so I had to use the car park up the road . This would have been fine but I was told it would only cost £5 to park here and the hotel would validate my ticket ..when i tried to exit the car park however I was to be charged £18 and had to speak to car park manager to sort it out . It was also made difficult to know how to connect to the free wifi , which took a couple of calls to reception to sort out , however it was .
It was ideally close to the city centre but you would think that you were further out as there was no noise outside Couldnt fault the hotel
Rooms were warm and clean, staff were very friendly. No Smoking Rooms!
great room and good staff.
The warmth and friendliness of all staff from the moment we arrived to check in.
Overall very clean. Rooms were not ready when we went to check in at 330pm
very central quite expensive
Clean room, very central Had to pay extorionate rates for parking. £18 for 24hrs
The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The food was very poor and very overpriced. The staff were distantly polite but did not react to my complaints about the food.
Very nice modern rooms. Cooked breakfast was not the best, but good overall coice
The whole exoerience was good.
alarm going off at 6.30am
No Room Service. No on-site parking - the hotel was advertised as having on-site parking.
I should have asked at the time, but are all your bathrooms wetrooms fitted for disabled guests. Our bathroom was clearly taking disabled patros into account, but I have to say I would love to have been able to enjoy a relaxing bath (which in room 723 Aberdeen Jury Inn) was not available. Hoping my feed back is taken into account, and thanking you for your interest. Bearing in mind that I have taken my time to fill out your questionaire, I would be most grateful to recieve a reply with regards to my 'grievance' Kind Regards. Lm See above
The location of the hotel was excellent and very close to the rail station
Handy near rail station and city cente
Good size of room althought he TV was a bit far away and the breakfast was good. The location was excellent Lift was very slow and the stairs were steep
As always the staff made us feel very welcome ,the room was clean and comfortable and breakfast the next day was excellent .
Location was ideal for access to shops, night life, railway station, buses etc. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good choice, dishes were constantly being replenished, restaurant staff very attentive Room was a bit on the cold side, although the hotel in general was warm. It was an extremely cold night, and we were chilled when we came in, so normally it wouldn't have been so noticeable. The facility to adjust the heating in the room would have been welcome. To be fair, we didn't contact Reception about it, so they may have been able to boost the heating. Bathroom was also a bit on the cold side.
Helpfull and friendly staff, excellent location
V ery clean and most comfortable beds . Staff very helpful.
Staff very friendly Noise from ball room and other guests
location in the city centre. Internet connection in the rooms the view from my window onto the wall of the other building
Check in staff and breakfast staff were very helpful. Pigeons nesting so I got very little sleep. The room was quite small and could do with a little revamp.
staff very friendly and helpful in all areas.Location great for shops, sightseeing etc Ifound nothing I would have improved on.
Hotel central Room was claustrophobic. The window had frosted glass making the room very dark and very warm. Had to ask for a fan - which we got - but I would not have spent more than one night in the room.
the location to everywhere in aberdeen breakfast time could have been later
Great location and breakfast buffet. Perfect for a business trip without breaking the bank. Staff is friendly and helpful. The private car park is a lifesaver in downtown Aberdeen. I liked the small, historical, boutique feel, while they also offered modern ammenitites and a full bar/restaurant. While perfectly comfortable, the standard single room was the smallest I've ever stayed in. Tiny twin bed, and a tiny walk-in shower. Next time I'd bump up my reservation to the deluxe single or deluxe double room.
convience to city centre, some of the rooms are smoking rooms, even though the smoking ban is not in force long you could still get a smell of smoke in the room.If Iwere to stay at this hotel again I would request a no smoke room.
The friendliness of the Staff The price for the 2nd night was double the first night! Not great value for money.
The good value for money
The hotel was well situated and very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful.
Location of hotel, friendly staff, good selection of breakfast items
the hotel needs renovation
The hotel has a central location. The hotel boasts that it has a car park. There are about 20 spaces which are used by the staff and often double parked. You will be very lucky to get a space. The room was small without a view the price charged is not value for money.
Location, good breakfast the room was old and dirty
location was good, it was very clean, lovely and comfortable. Staff were good and helpfull. nothing
Everything was superb! The staff was very kind and helpful. The apartment had three rooms very comfortable and clean and the kitchen/dining room was large and cosy.
Lovely hotel enjoyed our stay, will definatly be back, but when its cold outside The room was far too warm. Could do with air con Car park entrance was a bit dodgy
We arrived and we promptly upgraded as a result of my disability and the fact that the older part was being renovated. This was simply amazing treatment by the staff of this hotel. No, and when the old part gets renovated it will also be completely exceptional as the new part.
The room was lovely, when booking the room didn't realise we were getting a flat with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and livingroom. Was a big surprise when walking in. Loved it. Will come back soon. amazing for money!!!!
Check in was quick and eficient Check out the evening before was quick and efficient however when giving key back to reception was delayed to check I allready paid night before staff there was a bit funny
Cleanliness of rooms, the small nice touches like a pint of milk in the fridge with the tea coffee facilities. Excellent staff in reception and breakfast room who deserve a special mention. Very easy walking distance to the shops in Union Street and the indoor shopping centres. Lounge/ kitchen area fine and very comfortable with wide screen tv. Toilet/ shower spotless with hair drier and toiletries provided. Seperate bedroom very comfortable. Iron and ironing board provided which was also useful. Private parking free and secure. Non smoking room. None with the hotel. Make sure that you get directions from hotel as following the aa route plan which was inaccurate we got lost when we entered Aberdeen. Going back, the Receptionist gave us a very easy and accurate route to follow to get to the motorway home to Glasgow.
did not get the room booked
I really liked the fact that I had a proper suite with a sperate bedroom and living room, even if the decor was a little old fashioned. It gave a real feeling of personal space. It was a bit of a hike up the stairs to my room, but no real matter. The booking.com site appeared to indicate a continental breakfast was included but according to the hotel that is only for "superior" suites.
We stayed as a family of 4. It was very nice to have the use of a full kitchen and a sitting room where we could relax in the evening and watch a DVD. Breakfast was excellent. Overall very good value for our group. We were on the third floor and there was no lift in the house.
Central position. Clean and friendly.
Staff were really pleasant and helpful, particularly appreciated that room service costs were not ridiculous. The food was lovely and brought quickly Bacon and Sausages at breakfast were horrible! Sorry but they were.
Staff 1st class. Made to feel very welcome. Very Friendly. Comfort Cleanliness N.A.
I did like very much the interior design differing from the other Radissons that I visited - much more colorful and cosy. The restaurant served very well prepared food and the gym was well equipped. I have noticed that my room was not cleaned properly (the carpet was not hoovered on he daily basis and the bathroom was also not cleaned as it should have been). There was a problem with the organization of the room service stuff - when I ordered a meal to be brought to my room I had to call back a couple of times and I still did not received whatI wanted because of the member of the stuff who did not come that evening to his job and who was responsible for the cooking after the opening hours of the restaurant.
disappointed at breakfast, others seemed to get a choice of coffees whereas we were just given a jug a nd a pot of tea which by the way were stone cold
Very friendly staff, super clean, nice facilities, good price, but... The bed was actually two single beds pushed together with king-sized linens over them. I'd rather just have one small bed than to have the hard edges of two separate beds right down the middle.
Brilliant service from beginning to end. Asked to check in early and we were offered a cup of tea while we waited (sounds small but made a good impression). Really lovely staff who pay attemtion to detail. None
Handy location and cheap and chearfull. Off duty bar staff drinking in bar with guests wearing uniforms.
Booking was easy, quality of food and room/services were also good, overall an enjoyable stay. Some trouble paying. This was a gift from my daughter and when she called to pay the outstanding balance she was emailed with a third party payment form and emailed it back but when we checked out we were told that the email and form had not yet been looked at and I was told that it would probably just be taken off her card that she used to pay the deposit with. We are quite concerned that she will be charged twice.
Incredible stay, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The only problem we had was when we first arrived, there was no hot water, with in minutes, there was three staff at the door with in minutes
only 5 min walk to the innercity main streets, clean and nice rooms,
We loved the standard of the accomodation eg the luxury of having a suite with all facilities but with the bonus of having a breakfast included as well as a complimentary drink on the first day and free beverages and snacks during your stay. Superb Nothing it was excellent.
The accomadation was wonderfull fully fitted kitchen was great it was home from home breakfast was great staff were very nice and helpfull ther was a small play area for kids private parking cctv cameras could not ask for more internet in room was great sat tv sport chanel for husband no
The Skene House - Whitehall Hotel is a managed appartment facility which is well suited for longer stays, giving you all the facilities and privacy of your own appartment, together with good service. And the inclusive breakfast is very nice.
There wasn't anything not to like. The staff were excellent; friendly, courteous, helpful and informative. The suite was marvelous. I was there only overnight, but wished I could have stayed longer.
Very nice location, excellent rooms Suite 201 maintenance issues: hall radiator valve broken = noise throuout the night, loose sink tap handles, only one set of towels initially despite booking 2 people, networking issues resulting in no internet access
The Staff were Excellent. The rooms were clean and well decorated. Breakfast was excellent, and the lounge area with free Tea and coffee was a lovely touch. Overall i do not have an complaints.
Iwas most impressed with the spacious suite we were allocated,we were in 401 on the ground floor, which was not only superbly equipped itwas most relaxing as we heard almost no noise from fellow guests, despite the suites being fully booked. All of the staff were friendly and most helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet continental breakfast exceeded all expectations with a great choice to suit all tastes and plenty of staff providing pots of tea and coffee and fresh toast. definately a must to stay at if you visit aberdeen, amazing value for money!
City centre for business access and very comfortable suite to return to. no
Good city centre location with plenty of helpfull attentive staff in a modern environment. Internet access a bonus.
I liked my entrance at the hotel a lot: a stylish, spacious, wellcoming space. The top floor was a little shabby, especialy the carpets and the windows. This is a pitty because the room furnishings aspire to more.
The whole of the downstairs was very nice, and its in a good position for the centre of Aberdeen I think when the whole hotel is finished it will be nice, however some of the rooms looked like they were still in need of refurb
the staff were very helpful, happy and willing to help. my wife is a fussy eater and our evening meal and breakfast was cooked and presented just as requested. the whole experience was absolutely spot on many thanks we was only there one night and didn't find anything wrong
The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever come across, they couldnt do enough for you. The public area's are fantastic as is the food! I hope the hotel will refurbish the remainder of their bedrooms soon as this could be Aberdeens first life style hotel!
It was close to the city centre the room was absolutely atrocious. The lounge was lovely, there was a nice atmosphere and we had high hopes for our stay. Going up the corridor, the paint was flaking off the walls, the floor and the carpet was uneven. Then we got to our room/prison cell. It was tiny, there was no headboard, it was dated and cold. The table, bedside table and tv stand were all slanted and uneven which I was unsure if it was a quirky thing for the hotel or just really badly made furniture. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was no light apart from a bedside lamp. The only saving grace was the size of the bathroom, twice the size of the room although very sparse.
friendly, modern, relaxed lounge type environment with great wine and above average food, available throughout the day & night. noisy lift alarm - audible from rooms nearby, noisy seagull sanctuary outside one particular room windowsill!
Very pleasant hotel, good service and good facilities. Very reasonably priced. Good location.
In desperate need of a makeover! The landing on the 2nd floor was like walking on a bouncy castle and the carpet had to of been bought by the Carmelite nuns. The food left a lot to be desired, which is why I never bothered with breakfast. The one plus point was that they had Sky Sports in the bedroom. See above
Location and value for money
Very comfortable clean room with all facitites required in the room. Also parking and breakfast included. Nothing
Comfortable surroundings; Friendly staff; good food; good service.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was very good.
Near family member Noisy party under our room, had to be moved to another room very late @ night, also very poor parking @ hotel, nearby ncp very expensive, drinks in hotel very ,very expensive.
The staff were friendly and helpful The cooked breakfast was good but it was a small portion
Staff lovely and friendly, room perfect, overall great stay would use again.
Noise of ventilation fan in room kept awake most of the night, no choice as hotel full, however promissed upgrade next visit, very helpful staff
Room service was shocking, got the order wrong 3 times eventualy got food an hour an a half after ordering and it still was differet than the menu.
excellent hotel, staff friendly, very clean hotel, foodexcellent - very good location to city centre not applicable
Price and central location
The hotel was quite enough but yet close enough to the husstle and bussle of the town. The rooms were clean and tidy and well looked after!
Cleanlines, very good standard of all facilities No complaints at all.
The staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable We had no view at all!! The breakfast could have been a little better
Good location to city center. Continental breakfast was really nice. Good price for stay. Very loud noise from street made it hard to sleep. Staff weren't too helpful. Room was very small, mattress was not fit for two people.
It's location, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms No but would have liked a hot breakfast.
I can't comment as it was a one nights stay I can't comment as it was a one nights stay
The very clean rooms and complimentary breakfast The car park wa very small - understandable due to city centre location though.
The reception was very helpful and rooms were very good. I did not like the fact that when we went for breakfast that there was hardly anything to eat so just had to have toast and cereal.
clean, comfortable and excellent shower staff did not know about local tour services and did not point us to the leaflet s on display.
Nothing worked shower, TV, internet
Size of the room and service's were excellent, bathroom was recently refitted and was a pleasure to have and use. Room could do with redecoration, but there were signs of a refurbishment program in progress.
the best thing abuot the Station Hotel is the uniqu location very close to the rail station and the downtown of Aberdeen city. High prices of the resturant.
Near the shops and the main street Everything was ok
It was close to the station It was in need of a lick of paint and the lift did not work from the first floor. I would also suggest some different room doors that don't slam for all those inconsiderate guests who return at 2.30 in the morning.
It was close to travel terminals and shops. It had car parking.
It was terrible. The staff were rude my TV and light in the room didnt work. And I didnt get a breakfast because they hadnt bothered to read the booking notes. Leaving!
The fact I was walking around a historical document in a state of terminal decline. Fustiness of room.
We needed to access our rooms early to shower and change for a funeral after 9hours driving they couldn,t have been more accomadating many thanks mr,mr,s harris
Very clean, newly fitted bathroom, Comfortable bed, excellent food Awful coffee, While the room was clean, housekeeping staff prior to my visit had not checked drawers and cupboards, found an item if men,s clothing in a drawer. However it was promptly removed when attention drawn to it
All the staff were Friendly, helpful and welcoming. The standard of all services was high
Excellent - warm/inviting well appointed accommodation. Staff only too willing to oblige and help - Would definately recomend to others.. No - Appartment was first class
Secure Parking, City Centre location, excellent value compared to similar standard hotels. Luxury continental breakfast.
Very clean and tidy, very friendly staff. Met and slightly above expectation. The double bed was a small double 4'6" - ok but used to king-size at home and in other accommodation.
Very enjoyable, location is excellent for night out in Aberdeen. The fact that it is a suite gives you much more than just a bedroom. Was very reasonable price but that was on a special offer No bar as such, just a small bit in reception.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakast (included in the price) was excellent - everything was of a high quality, fresh and there was plenty to choose from. The showerhead didn't sit properly in the holder - needs to be replaced. The cold water tap in the sink needed a new washer. We were situated on the top floor, so there were quite a few stairs to climb, which wasn't really a problem for my husband and I as we are in our late forties. However, my parents who stayed in the suite next door, did find it a bit of a struggle. Therefore, when booking, bear this in mind and ask for ground/first floor as there aren't any lifts.
Every staff member we met was inpeccable, very friendly and genuine. From ringing to get directions to car parking, the check in, shown our room personally, asistance with taxi, breakfast room staff were warm and helpful, and the check out couldnt have been easier I have no bad points
We found our stay extremely pleasant and comfortable. the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The rooms were exceptionally clean and airy and very spacious. The whole experience was excellent and my only disappointment was that we could only stay for one night. however we wouls certainly book again the next time we are in Aberdeen.
Nice cosy room, great tv and dvd player facilities and a lovely free drink on arrival! My boyfriend did not enjoy his cooked breakfast!
Very friendly staff with an eye for detail, offering exceptional service. The apartment was just off Union Street, ideal for walking around the city and offered great free, secure parking. The apartment was of an excellent standard and had everything you would need. The continental breakfast was very good and offered a reasonable selection of quality produce. The coffee was very good also. The price paid was exceptional value. I am in the accommodation business also and have a critical eye for detail. I was very pleased with the Skene House, particularly the housekeeping and cleanliness, and have taken away a few ideas of what these guys do so well to implement into my own business. If I am in Aberdeen again I will stay here.
All good. Bathroom very good. Kitchenette great. Very clean and spacious. No elevator - very heavy bags needed to be moved to top floor. But staff helped (so points for their assistance!). Also, parking would be an advantage.
Central situation; helpful and friendly staff; parking was helpfully explained in the hotel room folder; Nice to have sofa and bed separated; Nice to get a copy of the p & J. Very reasonable price for extended weekend break. Supply of continental breakfast in the price was useful. Hotel forgot to replenish tea bags once. Shower height clamp fitting had been fitted a wee bit too close to the wall for easy adjustment. Took a while to work out how the push to release hand basin plug worked! These are all very minor though.
Well appointed suite, clean, quiet and ideal for own timetable. Found it to be a relaxed stay in city centre location. Would have liked a teapot as part of the kitchen facilities.
The convienve of where the hotel was situationed, bang in the centre of the city. We were disapointed that there was nothing to state that there is no parking!!! However there is a multi story car park round the corner that charged us £10.00 for parking fri to sun afternoon! Bargin and you could come and go as you pleased.
Upgrade to a suite which actually had a couch to sit on to watch tv! In the Grande suite which was booked I would have sat on the bed. All a bit tacky on fittings and fixtures. No ipod dock, No DVD plater, No oven. Shower turned bathroom into a wet room due to shape of shower screen. Club below upgrade which was actaually the equivelent of any other apartment I have stayed in.Craibstone bedsit more acurate!
Well organised, clean and well laid out comfortable stylish room. Poor Breakfast
Both my friend and I enjoyed that we had our own space, that it wasn't just the bed. We felt at home because we felt so comfortable in the suite.
the hotel was lovely and exactly what we were lookign for. they staff were very nice. and the room was clean.
Spacious, comfortable apartment Quiet, city centre location
Amazing room, great in-room facilities. Didn't have milk/orange juice & croissants in room when I checked in. They were provided when I requested though.
