The room was comfortable with big bathtub . The room was a little dark for us.
staff very friendly, excellent breakfast, good parking, fantastic location, value for money no
The service and the food were excellent, the place had a nice feeling to it The matrees was past its best, springs making a noise every time you moved
all staff very friendly and helpful and excellent full english breakfast
Everything was excellent and the staff could not do enough to help. Nothing to dislike
History of the hotel Staff attitude Location Good food Real ales Warm and friendly Nothing
Room had a king size bed, the restaurant food was fantastic. The amniance in the hotel, restaurant and pub was warm and cozy. You didn't even need to leave the Inn to have a great holiday. Was a little difficult to part.
The location was excellent within the town castle wall. The atmosphere and feel of a very 'olde world Inn' with beams and antiques displayed in the bars & restaurant. Freshly cooked food and varied menu. Friendly/helpful staff . For our relatives from Australia who accompanied us this was the typical historical inn they wanted to stay in and they loved it too. Nothing!
Good location No hot water from shower , very noisy , not clean and confortable room. It is not acceptable level.
Good breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. Food was quite expensive and not much for your money.
very clean rooms
All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent food - good choice for breakfast and evening meals were great with generous portions! At £70 for the double room I felt it was a bit expensive. It was the Easter bank hol but I wouldn't expect to pay that much on non bank hol weekends.
Friendly atmosphere Good food
Nice bar, good food, good staff, free fast Wifi In need of update. Shredded/torn towels; worn mattress; warped doors; screeching tv; variable wireless signal. And the trains, but that goes without saying!
Good value for money Room 7 is a little noisy - people leaving the public lounge are talking and sound insulation isn't good
Older style hotel, dated rooms, very small. Isolated but next to busy train line. Not really very good value for money. Rail noise. Dated decor.
Friendly and convenient N/A
I've stayed in a number of establishments in the Bangor area during the past 3 years while visiting my son at university, most of which have been a dissappointment. However I am pleased to have found the Abbeyfield which is clean, comfortable, convenient, has good parking facilities, provides a warm welcome, and the breakfast is great. Ideal for anyone wanting to stay in the Bangor area who is looking for good value for money.
Good value £75 for a family room with breakfast. Excellent food in the pub, the Pie is exceptional. Basic room, noise from railway and heat pump on outside wall. Clean but in need of sprucing up.
Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel could be charming if a little effort was taken with the rooms. Breakfast was good. Close enough to railway that the passing trains were felt in the rooms.
