Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Tierra Buxo. From the moment we enter until after the moment we left, we felt welcomed and guided towards a relaxed and personalised stay. We especially enjoyed the sincere interest in optimising our stay by suggesting hikes, providing us with tips on when to and how to enjoy the region to its fullest. Marta and Romain are redefining the word hospitality in the best possible way!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner couple was very nice and helpful. Marta and Roman make the stay in their place a special experience. 100% recommended and we will come back again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. Marta and Romain are the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Marta was happy to explain excursions in considerable detail at the beginning of each day and Romain is a truly inspirational chef.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about Tierra Buxo and Marta and Romain made it an incredible experience - making the whole stay very personal and serving amazing dinners and wines!
Cons: There is nothing to improve, everything is great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing boutique hotel with great team who creates a true personal touch to feel at home - lovely rooms, nice pool and great food!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marta and Romain are experienced hotel managers who give you a feeling that your are the only one that matters. They started the hotel in 2018 and everything is brand new. The warm welkom and the tour shows you how personal involved they are. Nothing is too much and they will direct you to all the nice things to do in the area. The Hotel is clean and modern, you can enjoy an excellent 3 course diner made by Romain himself.
Cons: No bad comments.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is beautiful, the hotel has been extremely well thought out and the quality is outstanding. The service standards from the hosts are also exceptional. My wife and I travel extensively and also work in associated industries - this was a delight to spend time at, albeit too short, and is one of those places we’d return to based on the overall experience. Wonderful views, lovely pool, excellent rooms and back to the hosts - brilliant! The food and wine were an unexpected pleasure and the hospitality as good as any in the luxury sector only more personalised. Great advice as we left to visit a local ravine and see the vultures that proliferate - a wonderful experience we would have missed otherwise. Marta and Romain are two fine exponents of hospitality and I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Cons: Nothing during our short stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sheer Class. Outstanding. Two experienced professional hotel and caterers, as committed owner-managers, have completely modernised a large and lovely family home, with stunning views. Really amazing place and lovely people. A treasure hidden deep in beautiful countryside. We loved the remote location.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff (better to say they hosts) - the most welcoming couple in the world! The comfort - the hotel is quite new (April, 2018) so everything is new, modern and very good quality!
Cons: Nothing to complain!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Absolute astonishing place next to the lake, the hostel is just fantastic if you are into nature and you want some relaxation. We arrived late at night and we could see the milky way and stars, hear the birds, smell the trees. Absolute magic! Plus the lake is great for swimming and you can borrow a canoe for free from the reception. Breakfast was nice, I would prefer some more fruits or eggs, since there were chickens on the hostel and you are next to nature. I small touch can do miracles! Still nice chorizo and jamon, can do a little better, since you pay for the breakfast. Least, but not last, very kind hostel manager.
Cons: We asked 3 times for some more bread on the breakfast which we paid for 6euros per person (total 24 euros) and no one gave us, so..hmm... Also, no one told us to bring sheets or sleeping bags and we got charged for it, just 3 euros/per, though. Small things, but details do leave the final impression.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very very chill place for writing my PhD thesis. I found no difficulty in concentrating on the writing part. I met really nice people working around and I would really recommend you this place for a short cut-off from your busy life maybe. haha. The boss showed me the lead-acid battery pack and solar panel. It is a place supported by pure SUN. It is a nice chance to see people how to engage themselves in nature. Besides, I saw two wild pigs on the way driving there at night. It is really cool!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting. Very helpful friendly staff. Very relaxing. Fantastic lake. Made to feel very welcome. Comfortable accommodation.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The setting was beautiful with a dramatic, breathtaking (albeit slightly scary) drive to get there. The donkeys were hilarious often roaming around the site. The stars at night were spectacular and we were able to clearly see the Milky Way. The bar area was rustic and charming, especially with the fairy lights on in the evening. We had a room with a balcony which was a lovely place to sit in the evening and the morning surrounded by nature.
Cons: Just be aware that there is no air-conditioning, nor are there any fans. It was quite busy when we were there and due to lack of tables in the restaurant, we were not able to eat until 22:45. As it is extremely remote, the on-site restaurant is the only realistic place to eat and so, our recommendation would be to go to dinner when the restaurant opens at 21:00.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A hotel in absolute tranquility, in a very isolated and remote place surrounded by magical landscape and teal water lake. There are usually not many people around, so there are chances that you may get the beach private to yourself ;) The lake is perfect for swimming (not too cold), with sweet water. The hotel had all basic amenities needed.
Cons: Few tips which will make your stay better: (1) Bring mosquito repellent (to put on your skin) and anti-mosquito plugs (for the room). (2) Do not reach/leave the hotel during night time - the road that goes to the hotel is very narrow and through the mountains, which could be difficult to drive through without sunlight. (3) During summer time it can be really hot in the room and and you can not open the windows for insects as well - bring a small table fan or something (it saved us). More information: the nearest township is a 30 min drive. Fill your tanks and do your groceries from Graus before reaching the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was lovely and fresh, location amazing with an azure blue lake to swim in all on your own mostly, something millionaires dream of! Super friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Great walking nearby. We were evening invited to eat a most delicious meal with the staff and family members - very welcoming and generous.
Cons: It's a shame the hotel is off grid and runs from the solar panels they have, therefore when it was 40+ degrees, it was very hot without any form of aircon. I would also encourage keeping the dogs quiet at night so that residents can sleep. Perhaps manage the wild baor another way because I don't think that the dogs deterred them much - fencing off the garden and hotel rooms for example?
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great people and amazing location, just by a beautiful, refreshing lake! Nature all around!
Cons: The shower box was small for a person of my size but not a big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Gorgeous location for getting away from it all, beautiful setting, fantastic lake, spacious room, delicious food in restaurant, accommodating and friendly hosts. We could have stayed forever!
Cons: Nothing, we loved it all - but if you don't like isolation it may not be the right place for you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute and friendly donkeys! Very nice house situated on the beautiful lake, surrounded by nature. Super nice and helpful host. Absolutely wonderful place

6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful location with fantastic river view Animation close to the swimming pool
Cons: No curtains: you have to wake up at 7 No air conditioned. Old furniture and bath Swimming pool present, but 2 km far from the apartment. You have to take the car No cleaning service. If you want one more towel, you have to pay 5 euro more. Too much expensive for the service provided. It is better to consider the bungalows It is nice to irrigate the garden continuosly, but it makes hard to access to the playground, which is full of mud.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location very nice panorama Restaurant for the evening was great
Cons: Breakfast not at the same quality level as the dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and varied and lovely to be able to sit on the terrace with the views
Cons: We booked a superior room. However, it appears all rooms are classed as superior. Ours was very small. Could not open window and wardrobe door at the same time! Also one uncomfortable wooden chair to sit on. On checking in we were not advised that our room was part of a village house which we could share with other guests including communal sitting areas and terrace. We only discovered this on exploring ourselves prior to our departure.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view is spectacular.
Cons: The property is somewhat isolated, good for some but you meed to get the car out to get anywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and views of the lake. Super tranquil place and great for relaxing.
