Pros: Wonderful hostess! Great breakfast!
Pros: Very good home-made cakes for breakfast.
Cons: Garden restaurant was not very nice with poor view, but food was quite good.
Pros: Big room, clean, comfortable bed, beautiful like new furnitures, excellent view from the window. The breakfast is usually Italian (sweet), but if you have another need they would try to fulfill that. Excellent location for a Castle visit and the strarting point for Angelflight
Pros: A bit difficult to find despite the signs to the property however the location was brilliant and the room lovely. Owner provided a lovely breakfast (including gluten free options)
Cons: We arrived in the dark and pouring rain at this mountain top location and despite having pre-paid for this room we found the property entrance locked with a chain and padlock and no-one around! We telephoned the number on bookings.com but got no reply. Feeling desperate we eventually stopped a passer- by who (despite having no English) managed to help us by finding another number and ringing the owner to come and open up. This was not a good start to our stay here! However, the accommodation was lovely and the owner (despite the bad start) was delightful and helpful
Pros: Everything. Simple fantastic, from the host to the place.
Pros: Beautiful restoration and room well-equipped. Staff delightful. Breakfast generous and high-quality homemade fare. Ideal location for Volo del Angelo.
Cons: Nothing. This place has been beautifully restored, the staff are super-friendly and helpful.
Pros: A beautiful room with a fantastic view. Our host couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. She was a pleasure to deal with. Excellent breakfast especially her mother's walnut cake. We highly recommend this B&B.
Cons: Everything exceeded our expectations.
Pros: Beautiful, Warm, Great Location
Pros: Staff was wonderful. Location was terrific. Bed was perfect. Place and room suited me to a T. The entire village was a fun experience.
Cons: Place was just right for me. Others who pack too much may find stairs if not on the ground floor a problem for luggage.
Pros: Pietrapertosa is a magical place steeped in history and Italian culture but without many tourists. The host was very kind and helpful. Apartment was beautiful and rustic. Breakfast was delicious with homemade cake and local Basilicata freshly baked bread with jams.
Pros: The owner picked us up at the bus stop far away and took us to the house, of course we paid the trip, The you man was good in English, but the owner lady did not speak a word English. We booked two beds, so I could have an own small room, we had the whole house for ourselves. The young man drove us also next day to the next village for extra cost, he was the best thing in this accomodation.
Cons: They knew we were coming but had not heated the house before, if was freezing cold when we arrived and we both had a flu. The batteries went off for the night, so there was only one extra heater in the big bedroom which I asked for, none in my bedroom. No warm water for washing. The kitchen for breakfast next morning was cold. One of the coldest experience during our trip.
Pros: This is a delightful home in a quiet and picturesque village in the Basilicata region. We reserved the room with a small balcony and doors that opened to a spectacular vista across the countryside. It was a very large, comfortable and modern room, with an impeccably clean and tidy shared bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and our host truly delightful. We were met with a smile, shown around, and left in privacy. A wonderful stay all round.
Pros: Teresa was so warm and welcoming, making us a lovely big breakfast spread. The room was huge and the view from our balcony was spectacular.
Pros: Absolute great location with great Hosts. Superb big appartement with great view. Tastfull decorated. Good italian breakfast with homemade products. Just 20 meters form ticketoffice volo d'ángelo
Pros: I expected a room with a small bathroom but it was actually an entire home. Super spacious, was a real surprise and very comforting after a long train ride from Salerno! The family were very kind and welcoming. I was there to do the volo del-angello, a little nervous, but Romano told me stories about his grandpa doing it 7 times and he's 84 so after that, I just relaxed and enjoyed the stars, the peace and quiet and woke up to beautiful views of all the countryside has to offer, before throwing myself literally into it
Pros: Nice property. Stunning view from the balcony. Lovely place for people who like to stay in the middle of town.
Cons: No T.V. , noisy bed due to metal frame, Bathroom is seperate to the bedroom.
Pros: A beautiful breakfast spread was awaiting us in the morning. We enjoyed very much and the service. fit for a queen! The little apartment we had was of a beautiful time period, gorgeous furnishings and the view from window was so absolutely stunning. The location was unbelievably beautiful and precious. The tranquility of the town and surrounding hills was so peaceful for us. We wanted so much to stay longer and explore the rocks and neighbouring town
Cons: I didn't like that our room was changed last minute, based on our late arrival and presumption that an alcohol-fused evening was more suited to us as a young couple than the self-catering facilitated room I had booked. (We are not drinkers). But the room was generously stocked with beverages that was impressive and very welcoming and would have been very appreciated had we not preferred to cook than to drink. The bed was very creaky to sleep in.
Pros: The location was good once we got there. There was a nice view from our room, which was the best in the house. We were there during the off-season, so were were the only ones staying there. The proprietress, Teresa, was very nice and friendly. The place was very clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable.
Cons: We arrived by car and there is nowhere to park. We had to call to tell the proprietress, Teresa, that we had arrived, which is expensive when calling internationally on a cell phone. There was no answer, so we had to leave a message. Fortunately, we showed up on foot just when she was leaving to find us. She drove us to the car, showed us where to park, then we loaded our luggage into her tiny car and she drove us back. Teresa was very nice, but she speaks only French and Italian, so if you don't speak either one of those languages, it will be a challenge to communicate. We were there in the off-season (March 20), the weather was cool and it took a while for the place to warm up. She brought breakfast, made coffee, but we couldn't make any more coffee. There was only tea in the house. There is only one bathroom, and there are at least three rooms in the house that she's renting out during high season, so if you don't like sharing a bathroom, this isn't the place for you.
Featuring an ATM, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Staff on site can arrange airport transfers. All units at Casa del Borgo-San Mauro Forte are equipped with a seating area. Guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around San Mauro Forte, like cycling. Castelmezzano is 47 km from Casa del Borgo-San Mauro Forte, while Pietrapertosa is 33 km away.

Cons: Beds were awful.
