The room has a bed of 160 x 200, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, an area of storage, a tea-coffee corner and a large bay window with direct access to the terrace. The bathroom is a tub and a walk-in shower (90 x 120). Suspended and equipped with a hand washing toilets are independent of the bathroom. The terrace South facing calls to relax. The dustore shade, sit in the garden room or relax in the spa facilities (inflatable) from March 15 to November 15. Breakfast is a time important and overdue. You will be served in our dining room or if the heart tells you, on your terrace, weather permitting. We discover among others our achievements and homemade jams.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very nice house, good service, friendly host.
Cons: must be reached by car.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience, comfortable bed and pillows extra fluffy, great amenities, breakfast was superb and taken into account my vegan preference and at the end they even helped us by giving us a needle and the thread to fix something that was torn.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent mini suite attached to the owner's home, with own private entrance. Everything is top quality and sparkingly clean. Splendid breakfast included. Owner is a lovely chap. Couldn't ask for more.
Cons: It's a pity there isn't a good restaurant withing walking distance - but they can't do much about that! The one recommended by the owner is only a short drive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent for a short stay, really close to the autoroute, it was brilliant to have self-contained facilities so that we could really relax after a long, hot journey.
Cons: The wi-fi was really low speed, one of the slowest we have encountered, but the rest of the facilities compensated for this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The accommodation is superb and decorated very stylishly. Breakfast included very tasty homemade croissants and cake.
10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and modern .
Cons: No where to eat within walking distance .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Probably the best "Chambre d'Hotes" in the region. Gorgeous breakfast with local specialties and home made pastry. Very quiet, nice and confortable place, but above all very sympathetic and very kind owners who gave us valuable info to visit the region.
Cons: Everything was 100% OK.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything but especially the possibility to have a nespresso coffee when waking up in the morning and the freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anne and Eric are perfect hosts and the facilities are superb. The relatively new apartment with a view into the walled garden is very restful and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast with home-made viennoiserie and conserves is excellent - thanks Eric. We have overnighted in the general area at least 35 times over the past 10 years and have stayed in over 12 different hotels on the way to England from Switzerland. No longer do we have to search for a room each time as we have now found the best.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely place. Infact we made a detour of an hour on this trip so we could stay here again. Breakfast was brilliant and is served in a typically French dining room. It is obvious that every ingredient of the breakfast is of very high quality from the home made savory bread to the freshly queezed orange juice. We can`t recommend this beautiful stay enough. We will be returning yet again in the future! Thank you for a brilliant stay.
Cons: Our standards are quite high when we stay in hotels but we were totally satisfied with everything. 10/10!

Pros: Wow. A simply wonderful place, very accessible from the motorway and set in rural, peaceful countryside. Emma was a welcoming host and our room exceeded our expectations. Wonderful interior with luxurious little touches. Fabulous shower and wet room with a large and spacious bedroom for our family of three. We arrived late and were unexpectedly treated to a delicious homemade meal with wine :). French cuisine is always a winner! Relaxing in a pretty garden with optional hot tub and swings for our little one, Hagebuche Les Charmilles is a gorgeous gem of a property and we highly recommend it to couples or families. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious too!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All facilities you can think of, very well kept and spacious. Host can arrange for a very well 3 course dinner for a very reasonable price. Very good value for money, really excellent accommodation with all comforts. Host speaks English which still is a rarity in France in these kind of accommodations. After a long day on the motorcycle, a stay in the Jacuzzi was a perfect end of the day. Closed parking on site which was perfect for motorcycles. (and cars)
Cons: Nothing, just perfect.

Pros: This was our second visit, perfect for a family Great place, friendly staff Would recommend it
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The quiet location, the space of the rooms (actually, we had a complete apartment like previous time!) A plus point for us was the refrigerator that we could use for our personal stuff (downstairs in the big common living) and the oven where we could warm up our dinner (fresh lasagne bought in Parma
Cons: The only negative part (for us) is that we have to drive about 20km extra from our route but it's worth the ride and the additional time

Villa Maria - Rahling - Building
5
9.5 Excellent (154 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Petit rechiard Quiet, tucked out of the way, in a village set back in time but a villa with a modern touch. I loved the way the sheets smelled as if they were just taken off the clothes line, still maintains their crispness. Wide open windows to deeply breath the night air in knowing that the nearby golden fields of rolled hay bails will be there to greet you in the morning. A delightful breakfast with homemade jams and honey. The indoor pool temperature was perfect. We got there late and unfortunately we’re not able to explore the garden a little more. The owners were very friendly.
Cons: The shower head did not want to stay positioned.
6.3 Good

Cons: The bed is too hard and pillows too soft
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, wonderful people, lovely breakfast, gorgeous garden.
Cons: For one of the rooms the toilet is in the corridor leading to the room, it would be nice if the toilet could be reached without worrying about the curtain at the end of the corridor not being closed properly.

Pros: Beautifull garden, nice swimming pool
Cons: We had a three night stay and the room was not cleaned during that stay. This is a bit too little.

Pros: Friendly welcome from Alex and Audrey, showed us around their lovely home. The garden was peaceful and lovely to sit in as children played and swam in pool. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds for family of 5. Super breakfast, with homemade yogurt and honey from their own bees (they sell their honey and we brought some to take home, it is delicious!) We were very happy with our stay, to break journey to Italy and would stay there again and definitely recommend to others.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, old fashioned, beautifully renovated and full of character and charm, this is the second year we have stayed at La Maison en route from the Alps to the UK. The host is lovely and attentive, he provided a fabulous spread for breakfast even a bit earlier than is normal for a Sunday morning! The evening we stayed, we enjoyed a delicious bottle of local wine (gutted I can’t find it anywhere else), whilst listening to old school vinyl. Wonderful way to end our holidays.

Pros: What a stunning and gorgeous place to stay - a real treat!
6.8 Good
Pros: nice rooms, spacious. Place has a lot of charme, friendly owner.
Cons: No extra touches to make it worth the price - toiletries, nice tea and coffee, bottled water etc. No hot chocolate for the kids at breakfast when it had been offered, all of which would be ok for cheaper accommodation, but not at this price.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and so welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The ambiance is fantastic.
Cons: The small small toilet
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful house and gardens, comfy huge bed, very clean and breakfast was prepared individually. We were the only guests so don’t know how many they can cater for. If you like individual treatment this is for you. If you prefer a bit more anonymity like us then no. Lovely people, no dinner and the town didn’t have anywhere we wanted to eat, more snack bars.
Cons: We felt a little uncomfortable with the attention! It’s not us. We didn’t realise we would be accommodated in the house, thought the accommodation was chalets, of which there was one. This is not a negative for others, just not what we expected.ver

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food. Great rooms and very service oriented staff.
Cons: N.a.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is a very beautiful hotel in front of the Lalique Museum. On Tuesday we were only six people in the entire hotel, very quiet. We had a 16 month baby and the Personal were very friendly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic interior design - a really pleasant surprise from the classic exterior. Most comfortable bed ever. The bathroom facilities are top drawer.
Cons: We were always planning to eat our own breakfast in our room, but had to ask for a kettle, bowls, cups etc. Perhaps they should be provided at least in the suite we had. Begs the question why they charge a considerable amount for what I'd assume is an excellent breakfast, but if I'm travelling a lot then I don't need that and don't want to be excluded by price from having a coffee and bowl of cereals.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful chateaux with terrific grounds and suited the purpose of visiting the Lalique Museum across the road. The restaurant was excellent!!
Cons: The room was quite small and uncomfortable to navigate with two people and no coffee making appliance. Overly furnished for the size of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, great staff and amazing value for money both in terms of room and restaurant.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Great, safe parking for motorcycle.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything (well, apart from the bells from the nearby church which start tolling at 6 a.m. and continue every 15 minutes! If you're a light sleeper, this can be a nuisance). The owner is very kind and helpful, one can use kettle and microwave in the common area, the room (an apartment, I'd say) was very big and very comfortable. Wifi worked perfectly. The chambre d'hotes is situated in a nice small town in lovely surroundings. Breakfast was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place with a traditional country aura. Complementary bottle of wine. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing. Just remember that the location is a small town, so do not be late for the dinner time (like us) otherwise the options around will be limited.

Pros: Very friendly and welcoming hosts , peaceful & quiet , spacious , fulfilled all my desires Close to autoroute . Great varied breakfast Comfy big bed . Welcome local 'black' beers in the fridge on arrival .
Cons: For some reason there was no internet ..Wifi in the evening , I think they may have turned it off in error . I was recommended a restaurant Marne in the centre of town but it was a big disappointment , I had to wait ages to get served ...in the end I left without eating ....after a long day travelling by ar from Milan , Italy . However this no in no way the fault of the hosts . She was going to complain to the restaurant ....as its bad for tourism etc ....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Madame offers a nice large and comfortable apartment on the ground floor of her house . A private parking is available. A walk to Saverne restaurants is easy and takes about 15 min. Madame operates the place with a lot of passion and friendliness. The breakfast is complete and nicely composed . We will be back.

Pros: Simone is a great and very kind host. The breakfast was very delicious. The room is nice and beautifully equipped, so is the bathroom.
Cons: Only thing: there is no direct access from the bedroom to the bathroom. But it is the next door, so we did not care much about it (and it is private, you do not have to share it).

Pros: the convent is very quiet and has fantastic views. The breakfast was quite good, lots of choice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the stay and welcomed the absolute flexibility when arriving late after closure of the reception. The view in the morning is awesome.
Cons: -
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Value for money. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast.
Cons: No on-site bar or restaurant. Restaurant 200m down the road was good but expensive and table availability is not guaranteed. Nothing else within walking distance. No staff on-site for arrival, email with code for front door.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The old convent was perfect. It was reasonably priced, very comfortable and in a beautiful rural setting. Historic Roman ruins on the grounds were very interesting. Exactly what we like.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good, quiet accommodation. Helpful hostess. Nice grounds.
Cons: Food a bit far away (ok for cars, but we had cycles) as nearby restaurant closed for vacation.
7.5 Good
Cons: The only close restaurant was closed and we had no facilities to self cater.
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the tranquility.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was outside Sarrebourg, up a long steep hill at Haut Clocher. It was beautifully quiet and the property is set in very nice gardens. Good views. As a former convent, the property oozed serenity, and guests sat at long tables for breakfast just as the nuns had done. The property is about 300 yards from a very up-market 'Auberge' serving very nice French food.
Cons: For some, the location would have been a problem. As a solo cyclist, I did not feel I wanted to cycle back down into Sarrebourg for the evening. If you wanted an evening meal, you either had to go the Auberge or back into Sarrebourg. But this would not have been a problem with a car. The breakfast choice was very limited. No cheese or meats to go with the breads, just jam. In addition, cereals and croissants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly personnel, nice and clean rooms. Place is a bit secluded but reasonable if you travel by car.
Cons: wifi could be faster
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Couvent de Saint-Ulrich is a beautiful facility. It is located off the beaten path in a rustic, rural setting. The atmosphere of the (former) convent is very nicely preserved, as were the gardens. The rooms were functional and complete, and totally in keeping with the tone, sober.
Cons: People who need mobility assistance should look elsewhere. Breakfast was fine, but more as you'd expect from a B&B.

Pros: The restaurant serves really good food. Excellent in fact. The welcome is very warm. The hosts are helpful and friendly.
Cons: The colours in the rooms are somewhat disturbing. Red, green, yellow... All come together and fight forum your attention. Breakfast is good except for the coffee. In they little van coffee doesn't stay warm.

Pros: The hotel is great in general with a beautiful view of the small town. But, what I like the most is the kindness of the owner. I was on my bike trip to Strasbourg, and my bike tire broke in Phalsbourg during a late night. I called the hotel asking if I could check-in after midnight since it was 6 miles from where my tire went flat. The hotel owner just told me to stay there and picked me and my bike up. He also gave me tools for fixing my tire in the morning.

Pros: The restaurant is really amazing! Hotel rooms are decent and a good value for money. You may miss an A/C if it’s super warm outside but the peaceful area is making it all good again.

Situated beautifully on a small lake with ducks, swans and a few goats. It’s the ultimate relaxing site after a busy day. The restaurant will serve you a meal that is so good you will talk about it for days.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb restaurant; traditional French gastronomic cooking with some very successful, inventive ideas, really delicious stuff!
Cons: Nothing not to like; rooms and bathrooms not very modern but perfectly nice
8.3 Excellent
Pros: There is nothing special in the room. The furniture, carpet, and facilities are old. But no complaints considering the price. The reception staff is nice though. And the free access to Jardin pour la Paix is a kind arrangement, too. The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the restaurant. The combination of the food and wine is amazing. We admire the chef's creativity. The senior waitress and the waiter are both nice, trying their best to explain the cuisine in English for us.
Cons: The tall, young waitress was cold, saying the name of the food in French as soon as possible like reading a textbook without any feelings. But she treated the German guests warmly, explaining the food patiently and asking them if they like the food. Well, I hope her attitude toward us is simply because of language, not other reason.

Breakfast was very adequate with very good croissants. a very good quality accommodation for the price. Host recommended a local restaurant which was also excellent and just a ten minute walk.
