Pros: Clean Comfortable Good breakfast
Pros: Very nice breakfast and clean Hotel. Everything was perfect.
Pros: The staff were extremely welcoming. The room was spotless and comfortable. Great recommendation for dinner as well. Good breakfast especially the fresh orange juice.
Pros: Hotel Ferro Di Cavallo completely blew us away! We were promptly met by the owner who went above and beyond with everything to make sure our stay was spectacular. We were tired from our drive and the owner was kind enough to bring cappuccino and cookies to us in the room shortly after we got settled. The room was just lovely with a balcony, electronic blinds inside the windows, patio door that either opened completely or could just be leaned open. The mini bar offered several beverage selections. The bathroom was luxe with gorgeous fixtures and all the necessities we could have needed. We really felt like we were at cozy bed and breakfast and not a hotel. The dining room where breakfast was served was beautiful as well. The owner has really put her heart into the design and decor. The common areas are very welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful with a nice assortments of breads, cheeses, cereals and cooked to order eggs and cut to order prosciutto. All the pastries were either baked locally or baked by the owner herself. There is a lovely small bar in the lobby and the cappuccino is excellent. The owner recommended a wonderful restaurant in town and even offered to drive us there, free of charge! We accepted her offer and we had a lovely meal and a much needed 15 minute walk back to the hotel. She did offer to come back and pick us up after dining but it wasn't necessary. We needed laundry service and she accommodated that request happily. The owner and her family were an unexpected delight. She is an amazing hard working woman that wants her guests to feel comfortable and need for nothing. She excels at everything. Even when I asked her about the wall paint she went above and beyond contacting the local paint store that provided it and then set about finding a provider in the US where we could purchase it. That was truly spectacular and I can't wait to start painting!
Pros: Well-appointed and modern bathroom, if a little tight. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Bed mattress was broken down- not good suport.

Pros: isolated location /great for chilling out and absorbing local town life . terrific welcoming hosts / Win and David / willing and available to orgnanise events and trips.
Cons: lack of public transport and hilly terrain means reliant on hosts for transport in the region if dont have own car. Hosts very willing to assist . Day hire car facility in Polinago would be useful
Pros: Great breakfast and top staff. Staff helpful with everything.
Pros: Wonderful home stay like accomodation. Friendly hosts, great food and wine using local produce .
Pros: This home is way out of town but the view and the hospitality made it worth finding. The view of Mt. Cimone was stunning,
Pros: Beautiful room and view. Very comfortable. Very nice owner
Cons: The toilet didn't feel private. You could hear what's going on inside the house they probably can hear you
Pros: Breakfast was continental with offering of Tea, Coffee, Orange juice, various breads, Croissant, Yoghurt, cheese, cooked ham and various cakes. Service by the owners was friendly and they always asked at what time breakfast should be served. They also had a coffee machine in the room for self help.
Cons: The location was difficult to locate as it is on a new road not yet mapped. In the end they had to come to the village and guide me to the B&B. The roads to Polinago are difficult. Multiple difficult hairpin bends to climb and descend the steep hills. The roads are not well maintained especially the white lines and in the dark really difficult to manoeuvre, with unprotected precipices. Local drivers who knows their roads intimidates, driving inches behind you.
Pros: The Hosts were incredibly accommodating and hospitable. We felt right at home immediately, the room is a decent size with a coffee machine, fireplace, super comfy bed and a view that will being a tear to your eye.. we even had our washing done for us. The properties guests receive a 10% discount at the local ristorante up the road and the food is delicious!! Breakfast was a tasty homemade freshly baked cake and some bread rolls with jam and butter, juice and coffee. They've got an Uber sweet wolf like dog that will melt your heart! This place is the perfect retreat away from it all and if you're driving from Lucca way, we recommend taking the the back roads, the drive itself was a memorable experience!
Cons: More of a suggestion than a dislike: Breakfast could have used some fruit and meats.. other than that, we highly recommend this place! Wifi could be stronger.. and be careful on the bidet, the hot water works almost too well, if you catch my drift!
Pros: - very nice hosts - clean room - big bathroom - coffee machine at the room - beautiful panoramic view - nice italian breakfast (sweet)
Cons: - wifi available only from bathroom (but I belive it will be changed soon) - a bit hard to find (Google maps shown wrong location)
