Cons: Would not let me rent car because I did not have my own car insurance. I offered to buy theirs, but they stated since I lived within 60 miles I had to have my own car insurance and could not simply buy theirs. It was like they actively did not want my money. Of course they let me wait in line for twenty minutes before they shared any of this with me. There is NO ADVANTAGE to wasting your time with these folks. Spend the extra $20 and get a car five minutes away at the actual airport.

Cons: bad customer service. bed bugs found in the car rented on hold twice for nearly 45 mins to inquire about car rental issues

Pros: The car was good.
Cons: We waited a long time to be picked up at the airport, and then it took an hour to get checked in and get our car.

Pros: It was great to have a car in Guadeloupe & the staff was very polite.
Cons: The car we got was very old, very tired & it was pretty questionable at times if we were going to make it up some of the hills or not. It had lots of dings, no hubcaps & very little power. It was totally for the week, but something with a little more oomph would've been nice. It was inexpensive, but virtually every other car on the lot was much more modern.

Pros: Great value. Got a prius for $55 for two days. The pick up was a little drawn out and for that the desk attendant threw in a free tank of gas.
Cons: There was a bit of a wait for the bus to arrive and it was 17F outside. We were told afterwards we should wait inside the terminal for the shuttle to arrive but there are no signs indicating so. Also, no signage at Reagan airport to show you where to go for Advantage/Dollar pick up. This has less to do with the rental car company and more with the airport

Pros: The check in was quick along with the check out.
Cons: I booked from dca to iad online and dca must of been populated in the auto search when it went through as iad when I clicked submit when booking through kayak. Because of this, I was under the impression I was returning my car to iad and not dca. This cost me over $300 when I was expecting a charge of only $25. The car had low tire pressure in one of the tires. It also did not feel very safe to drive.

Pros: There was nothing to like, because Advantage refused to rent me the car.
Cons: When I arrived to Advantage at Reagan National Airport the attendant let me know that my reservation could not be completed because I did not have my own private car insurance. When I confirmed this rental on Kayak they did not mention anything (I looked at fine print) about needing to have car insurance. So, I was out of a car and needed to find another rental (and pay MUCH more) in order to leave the airport. VERY disappointing service.

Nice car terrible service
Pros: The car was clean and overall the trip was fine.
Cons: Service was terrible. They added on a $200 hold which no one told me would happen until I got there. The front desk was rude and had an attitude for absolutely no reason.

Advantage Car Rental
Pros: Fast and upgraded me when they did not have the car I reserved
Cons: Location, difficult drop off. Return sign says "Dollar" not "Advantage"

Pros: I liked the car alright.
Cons: They tried to charge me over $700 for an economy class, 4 day rental. They made a mistake and after about an hour arguing and almost missing my flight, they realized they should have only charged me $240.

Cons: Insisted that we needed liability insurance, but wouldn't sell any to us. Had to cancel and go elsewhere. Don't waste your time - pick a different company.

Cons: This rental is NOT at the airport, it's at an off airport location for which you have to take a shuttle. It's not conveniently located and the price differential between this and one of the rental places IN the airport is not enough to make it worth the extra effort.

Cons: Everything never got the rental cause they was terrible customer service and wanted me to jump thru hoops. Will never use or recommend them to anyone!!

You Get What You Pay For
Pros: The vehicles are nice and clean and prices were low.
Cons: I forgot an item in the vehicle and couldn't get a hold of a person over the phone and could only leave a message. Never got my item back or even a response back.

Bad Customer Service
Cons: The staff working at Advantage did not explain things well, we're not friendly, and when we asked for them to tell us where our car was, they seemed put out.

Pros: I did like the quick turn time for pick up and return.
Cons: What I didn't like was the customer service. It seemed that the guy processing the paperwork didn't want to be there. I understand that people have ad days from time to time but when you service the public you have to present your best at all times. The other thing that I didn't care for was the $200 hold fee. Maybe I missed that in the fine print but I don't remember seeing that and after going to their website There weren't supposed to be a hold fee. I have had way better service with Hotwire with no hold fee and I won't be renting from Advantage again and I won't recommend them to a friend.

Cons: Advantage does not have a plan if flights are delayed . they have no one pick you up after 11;00 pm. They did not want to refund my money. Sells person on the phone tried to give me a hard time. I will never rent a car from Advantage!

Never Again with Advantage.
Pros: Not much, service was poor, employees confused, delivery and processing of customer very slow, even though we had a toddler with us. customer in front had a problem and customer following us had a problem. Staff seemed confused and not at all happy to be working there or aware of what customer service is in hopes of bringing customers back.
Cons: Check in took forever, maybe over an hour with 1 person behind the desk and only one other customer in front of me. Staff seemed confused by the process and work. Car had many damages about it, was dirty with dirty seats, cups, bottles and other trash in the car. The car ran fine but was dirty. Return went well but am a bit confused over the billing as it shows the $200 deposit as an upgrade, which should be returned to the card. I am customer service oriented and no business can stay in business like this.... honestly.

Pros: There were no positives points.
Cons: Firstly, the rental was offsite from the Airport, a point that wasn't clear in the rental agreement, but it wasn't a terrible inconvenience. The advantage fee was 28$ per day as quoted online. However, there were over 37$ per day extra in mandatory insurance payments. So the final price would have been over double the original quote. The woman I spoke with at the counter was grumpy and rude. I went around the corner and found a budget rental for the same price and had much better customer service.

Pros: Good rates on the weekend in DC.
Cons: Check-in was way too slow. On return, lot attendant couldn't provide receipt and when I got home, I saw that I was overcharged by $150+.

Cons: Sneaky kayak selling me insurance that wasn't actually attached to car rental. Car very high mileage. Very dirty smelly car. Off airport rental office not disclosed.

Cons: Car rental.com said there was "IN TERMINAL" rental office - but it requires 35-45 mins extra time to shuttle __way__ off site. Even the gut there said that ad was false. Cheap...but a pain to get to and to RETURN to (poor signage).

Pros: Did not rent.
Cons: They don't advertise the fact that if you are a local renter, they FORCE you to buys their full coverage insurance at $25 a day unless you physically present your insurance card. This was on top of a $18 / day rental fee, so it was cheaper to slide four feet to the right and rent from a competitor without such a policy but with the same daily rate.

Cons: Not at the terminal. An extra shuttle takes you into Arlington. The car we selected had only half a tank of fuel.

Not at terminal
Cons: Rental counter NOT AT TERMiNAL, but advertised as being so. Listed phone number INCORRECT. "Confirmed" reservation NOT FOUND. Gladly took my business elsewhere. A FIASCO. NEVER AGAIN KAYAK OR ADVANTAGE FOR CAR RENTAL.

Very poorly organized operation
Pros: The price was low and there was no charge for drop off a t different location.
Cons: From arrival to exiting the lot took about two hours. First there was a half hour wait for the shuttle. Then there was an hour wait to get the keys. And then another 30 minutes in line trying to exist the lot. The delay was because the car first in line could not leave the lot because it had been sold!!! It had been rented to a family with small kids that needed kids seats shifted into a new car etc etc, just a time wasting disaster for everyone that had the misfortune to rent from such a completely incompetent company.

I will not rent with advantage again
Cons: Local renters without insurance are required to purchase all insurance regardless of what their credit card covers. Car was dented and scratched but it takes so long (10-15 minutes per person) to check in I didn't have time to swap out the dented car for one that wasn't dented. They're terrible.

NO RENT, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. NOT IN TERMINAL, F
Cons: Worst experience ever, false information. it says 'in terminal', but is not true. Don't take this company, worst service ever. An hour to get the car, and another hour to return, the address was incorrect.
