We were warmly welcomed by the owners who run the bar opposite the guesthouse. She very quickly warned us that there was a fiesta that night and the music would go on till about 5am. Our room was right overlooking the square with the stage and loudspeakers right outside our window. But forewarned is forearmed - we had wax earplugs! We enjoyed our stay and we ate in the bar on the square. It's a lovely little village.
Very clean. Every effort had been made to make the room comfortable. lots of extra blankets, little decorative touches. In a beautiful place .
The village is really tiny. A few houses really. The owners of the bar are also the owners of this place. The hotel is new in an authentic building. Really nice lounge downstairs and all is fresh and modern. The owners and family are great people. Mske sure you speak some basic Spanish in this area. English is difficult. I really liked it here. A river originates here and you can walk here. There are also other walking routes nearby and the Monancyo mountain with its park is closeby by car or motor. I met Eduardo who stayed here and walked up the mountains everyday. Place has a very local atmosphere. Friendly, unlike in some other Spanish remote villages. I made a month long trip by bike and this was one of the best places. I arrived late and they even made me a plato combinado. Super! Check out the Moncanyo region, it is full of great villages and nature. Let yourself be informed by the tourist info at the Moncanyo nature park. They give you a map of the region.
The place is a little remote and just a few kn's before it's all flat, this is in a green mountain-like area. On motorbike it is a little rough if you had a long day but other than that excellent. Be aware, getting petrol on a sunday is really tricky here.
exceptional hotel in an area of outstanding beauty. fantastic room & lounge area. nice friendly bar across the road as well..
Very quiet place to relax in a nice cozy town. The bar with food and beer was the best as grandma was cooking and surprised me with a great dinner.
