Cons: Too short a stay.
Pros: Impeccable attention with the guests. Absolute tranquility in the surroundings for a complete rest.
Pros: Everything! Tina y Pedro are the best host, very warm and kind:) hope to visit paredes de coura again!!
Pros: The host and hostess were extremely accommodating to all our requests, very friendly and gracious and they had a lovely home.
Cons: Location is somewhat remote and the GPS on our car could not locate it. Some of the streets in this area did not have a named address so GPS sent us to the wrong location.

Pros: Excellently located, right on the Caminho Torres. Super friendly proprietress, very helpful in arranging for our bags to be transported to our next overnight stay at very fair rates. Very good breakfast and coffee.
Pros: Everything was perfect! The property was beautifull, the stuff really nice. They offer breakfest and diner. menu is 20 eur/pers and here arround is the only choice for a good, cooked meal. You can choose from fish, meat and vegetarian. The room and bathroom was big and so nice.
Pros: The warm welcome from Margaride on arrival and the spotlessly clean pool and surrounds. It was bliss. The beds had cool cotton sheets and air con assured us of a comfortable nights sleep. Great breakfast and coffee too. Home cooked evening meal if you are looking for a good dinner without leaving the premises. Hope I get back someday
Cons: Not a thing. This was the most perfect antidote to a very hot 33°C day on the Caminho Portuges.
Pros: Everything at this hotel is perfect ........ it is Heaven on earth!
Cons: Nothing ..... all excellent.
Pros: Staying at Casa da Capela during our Camino was a truly magical experience. It was the perfect stop between our long uphill hike and one long downhill hike. We wish we could have stayed one extra night here. The gardens, the pool, and rooms were all beautiful.
Pros: Breakfast was good and room
Cons: WiFi poor. Quite expensive dinner, 20E per person
Pros: What a place to stay! From the moment I arrived I felt at home. Wonderful property. Fabulous family run place with a great dinner. It has a pool which was so welcome after a long walk. And they also have a pool table! Cannot say enough good things about it.

Pros: This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Our hosts kindness and courtesy made us wish we’d been able to stay longer. We arrived in a cab on a chilly, rainy night. Luisa met us with umbrellas and her husband lit a fire in the living room fireplace for us. Next morning we awoke to blue skies, sunshine and a delicious breakfast that included every breakfast item your heart could desire. Our hosts gave us a driving tour of their pretty village and then drove us to the spot where we were meeting our travelling group.
Pros: This property was further away from the path than we would have liked but the accommodation on the trail was booked. We took a taxi from the trail and what a treat awaited us! The owner was lovely and so accommodating, the accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable and there was a huge breakfast to get us set for the day ahead. The same friendly taxi drove us back in the morning to the trail. We were there on a Monday and not much was open for dinner but we managed with Augusta’s help!
Pros: The owner's hospitality far exceeded my expectation. The breakfast was sumptuous with homemade preserves and generous helping of fresh local breads and fruits. Wonderful stay after a day of hiking with friends along the Portuguese Way.
Pros: Friendly owner, very nice property.
Pros: The breakfast and the garden outside is really great, and the host is really nice. The entrance and the common areas are really beautiful.
Cons: The bathroom had some problems, specially the door, my wife was stuck there for some occasions, it was really hard to operate, and some of the wood is falling a part. all the furniture is really sharp and not children family, we couldn't rest with the kid awake.
Pros: Great place and great owners. Thank you Louisa and your husband too, you are the best
Pros: very good breakfast in a very comfortable kitchen
Cons: the tenant was difficult to contact - no sign at the door to signal the place.
Pros: The owner was absolutely charming and so helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She had lots of snacks when we arrived: chips, fresh fruit etc. even offered us a glass of wine after a long day of hiking the Camino. Our room was very nice, very modern and clean
Cons: No fault of the establishment, but when I booked I thought it was near the Camino route, which it was not. However I still think it was worth the taxi ride to stay in such a nice place.

Pros: Meet our Camino needs and was an enjoyable stop.
Pros: Perfectly located for pilgrims on El Camino Portugues, looking for a decent location, not sharing the same room with other people. The owner is awesome, always willing to help. The room was very clean. Breakfast was decent.
Cons: Nothing to say against.
Pros: This place really was a haven after a LONG day's walking on the Camino & is right on the path!
Pros: The pool was lovely after a long walk! Rooms were clean and there was a lovely lounge area to relax in.
Cons: The pillows need to be updated. They barely had any stuffing in them.
Pros: The location and the quality of accommodation
Pros: Every thing
Pros: Lovely place. Beds were great. Enjoyed the pool.
Pros: fIRST, IT WAS RIGHT ON THE CAMINO. SOMEONE MEETS YOU IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU ARRIVE AND BRINGS YOU TO YOUR ROOM. IT HAS AN INVITING COMMON AREA FOR PEOPLE TO MEET. THE OWNER WAS PRESENT AND INTERESTING AS WELL
Cons: THE IDEA THAT YOU HAD TO GO OUT FOR SUPPER TO A LOCAL RESTAURANT IS SOMETHING I WOULD PASS NEXT TIME.
Pros: Nice pool and rooms
Cons: Very remote, one choice for dinner, expensive
Pros: Location was perfect after coming down off the hike from hell. To find a pool in a secluded garden with flowers everywhere, so many blue Agapanthus, was a delight. Heidi gave us pool towels and we enjoyed. Heidi and Helmut run a very organized but free space. We opted for a bottle of wine from the honor fridge and enjoyed the terrace, while the other 4 guests were collected by shuttle and taken to the one restaurant in Rubiães. Had a very quiet night’s sleep too, and enjoyable breakfast at communal table. Sad to leave.

Some of the many leisure activities nearby include hiking and horse riding.
Pros: We stayed here while walking the camino, and it was a lovely stay after a particularly long day of walking uphill. We were fortunate to have the place to ourselves, and it was a lovely, quiet place to spend the night. Dinner and breakfast were both lovely, as was the accompanying wine. The host was very friendly and helpful when one of our party wasn't feeling well.
Pros: Beautiful grounds and self contained cottage.
Cons: Felt a little intermediated by the owner, who made 100% sure that we did not disrupt or move any of the items in the house. Had to help him fold away bedcovers so that he could put them safely away. Our friend did some laundry and was charged per item which worked out more expensive than the shared cost of the accommodation for the night.
Pros: Beautiful farmhouse with pretty rooms, lovingly managed. Engaging owners. Special family traditional seafood 'casserole' in our dinner entry.
Cons: Casa was very cold upon our arrival. We wrapped ourselves with blankets as we sat waiting for dinner. The heaters in rooms were very noisy so we were cold or be awaken each time the heaters came up. Hence, not good sleep. For Camino walkers, that was not ideal. The showers didn't have enough hot water. And towels were feeling damp, probably due to overall temperature of the casa. We would like upfront transparency on prices for services or products. Hot water boiler and tea bags in kitchen would been complementary in many hotels/lodgings, but they were 0.5 euro per teabag - reflected in bill in morning. Reasonable if the charges, including laundry are listed.
Pros: Breakfast was good. Supper was good.
Cons: Room rather cramped for three people. Separate bathroom. Did laundry for a few items which proved to be very expensive.
Pros: Fernando is the host and owner of the lovely hostel. The history he shares makes the stay even better. He has a great, outgoing personality and able to connect on many different levels.
Cons: For someone that is sensitive to cold weather, most places I’ve stayed at have no to little heat. Although there are heaters and a hot shower it is a bit chilly.
Pros: Beautiful property. Good shower. Good bed. Nice staff.
Cons: We were misled about what was included in the price. When we arrived to the place the owner offered us dinner. The way it was presented it sounded like it was included. He also offered us wine which we accepted. He also insisted on drying our wet clothes which ended up being more expensive than anywhere else. They only accept cash which we were not prepared for. The strangest part was that he did not want to tell us what was for dinner. I explained that I do not eat pork and he told me to pick it out of the food. I deeply regret agreeing to do that. We were drenched and very tired and could not argue. They did prepare spaghetti for my vegan friend. It ended up costing a lot more than we were planning.
Pros: There is no lunch but the owner drove us into town to a very nice restaurant. The owners prepared an exquisite dinner for us. The hotel is kept in pristine condition.
Pros: Fernando the host goes above and beyond, speaks excellent English. Felt more like a visit with an old friend than simply a place to stay for the night. Beautiful property in the countryside. Delicious authentic Português dinner. Fabulous wine. Wonderful laundry service. Couldn’t ask for more. A memorable evening on the Camino with special people.
Pros: Beautiful setting . V helpful host. Delicious supper. Comfortable bed. Good company at supper.
Pros: Small paradise with a caring host. Just a 10 mins walk from the Camino. Beautiful location and rooms. The host welcomed us very friendly and he took care about every detail. The host really cares about his facilities. Dinner (€20 surcharge) and breakfast were great - all made with local ingredients.

Pros: The house is beautiful. We had a 2 double beds in a spacious bedroom with an equally spacious bathroom. A balcony with a small table. A nice breeze helped cool off our room if we kept our door open. Our host was very kind. Made my laundry for 2€. Right on the Camino. There is a Pharmacy close by, but that’s about it. The host’s family also owns a restaurant in Rubiães and offered a complimentary shuttle ride at 6:30pm to the village. A grocery store is near the restaurant.
Cons: The albergue is in Casco and a bit isolated. The beds were a little firm.
Pros: Very welcoming host, warm genuine welcome. Washing is only 2 euros and the landlady dried and folded my laundry. For the meal, she drove us to a nearby restaurant for a good menu del dia, home made soup etc
Pros: As Pilgrims on the Camino you are accustomed to staying in a variety of places - this family-home turned Guest House was a gem! We arrived 30 mins before check in and were able to take advantage of the hammocks they provided out front while we waited. The whole house was most comfortable - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, even the sitting room. Lillian - the house mother - made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She even picked us up in the family car and drove 8 of us (two trips) to the family owned and operated restaurant 5-7 mins away for a wonderful supper (quality of food and price point were exceptional). Three hours later (that's how much fun we were having) she drove us back to the guest house for a comfortable night's sleep.
Cons: Municipal brush cutters were doing their job - just happened while I was trying to take a nap. Not the Albergue's fault...life happens.
Pros: Great house with amazing rooms! Although located near the main road the place is very quiet and you can enjoy a nice night's sleep. The hostess is very welcoming and the restaurant that belongs to the same owners serves fantastic food. It's located also on the "Santiago trail".
Cons: Nothing. Everything was good. I really enjoyed my stay.
Pros: Incredibly sweet landlady who goes above and beyond for her guests. She drove us to the family restaurant down the road around 6.30 pm and dinner was cheap and delicious.
Pros: Comfortable, clean and quiet hotel. The staff drove us to an excellent restaurant and back to the hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good value and on the caminho.
Pros: There is a best price for private room in Portugal and Europe in a whole. Better to have a rest here for few days especially rainy days. At that case you will have quite time in the morning when other guests are gone. Book it as earlier as possible because albergue is full everyday.
Cons: This is noisy place due to the wooden construction of the floors. You will hear every step during day and night. It's recommended to use earplugs.
Cons: No place to eat other than their own restaurant to which they drive you to and fro. We were told we could buy the pilgrim meal but paid double when we ordered fish and the food was nothing to order again.
Pros: 2 share bathroom in the house and the host is sooooooo nice!!
Cons: No fan
