Typical Campanile set just out of Dignes centre. Arrived very late and pre arranged for a key to be left so I could get in along with a code for the gate to the car park. Worked perfectly. Pleasant staff. Good buffet breakfast. Free WiFi for those wanting internet. Good Value.
Not a lot. The outdoor access to the rooms.
rooms were spacious and airy. Excellent choice of food for breakfast
Excellent budget accommodation, however had difficulty finding the hotel even though we were travelling into Digne by the Route 85
leaving Very dirty and run down hotel, I booked for 2 nights but left after one.
They had an electric kettle in the room, tea and coffee. The internet wasn't working good. The hotel is quite old. It doesn't worth the 67 euro (without breakfast) it costs.
There wasnt much that we did like, sorry I can't write more. I gather these hotels are always on a trading estate. Our room was quite small and window looked out to a high wall.
Typical Campanile motel-like hotel, no frills Position is in an absolutely shabby part of town: shopping centers, Castorama, Intermarchè, on Sundays it is a desert....
Very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel was good value. No hair dryer in the room or at the reception.
Sheets clean, bathroom clean, room size good, staff attentive and pleasant. Evening meal dreadful, decor seriously tired, hotel dark, unwelcoming, only a 2 star trying to be something its not. No air con. very depressing hotel would not recommend.
The staff were excellent - English spoken. Very good restaurant. Loved the old charm of the hotel and it's central location for day trips. No hairdryer in room.
The hotel was nice for our one night stay. The beds were soft and comfortable (if you do not like soft beds, you may not find it as comfortable as I did). My girlfriend really raved about the bath tub. The bathroom was newly renovated and very spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location is located in the town and very close to the tourism center and bus station. I would have preferred air conditioned rooms. We visited in August and the temperature during the day is on the warm side. The temperature at night was not unbearable, but a nice cool room would have been preferred.
The staff was extremely courteous and accomodating. The room was quite large for France and the bathroom was exceptional. We loved dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. No complaints whatsoever.
Large room with good choice of seats; large comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast on the terrace, None.
We liked the old-fashioned ambience of the hotel, beautiful paintings and tastefulness of furnishings. We had a newly reburbished room which was a pleasure to be in.This hotel would be ideally suited to mature couples. Very quiet, but friendly.
Free Wi Fi available. Easy parking. Close to town to drive in for dinner. Sufficient English spoken by one host. Difficult to find as the name of hotel does not appear on building. In fact they have a large sign saying Hotel Michel only.
I like the flowers all around the hotel and the good smell of the shampoo.By the way, the friendness of the digne native is very impressive to me.
One of very few choices in area if you travel with larger family. Nice swimming pool and free parking, friendly check-in staff. But rooms are small and visibly worn-out, the road next to the hotel is quite noisy. An option for one night as we did, but do not recommend for longer stay. Beware! - while telling nothing at the time of check-out, after few days my credit card was charged by additional 15 EUR amount per room by the hotel "for cleaning of kitchen corner", arguing that "but you paid so small money for your stay..."
The facility, although functional, looks like it's falling apart. Limited hours for advertised sports/leisure activities. What is wrong with putting screens on windows? This would help a lot.
