Nice staff, good location. The hotel is not so bad, although I would not rate it at the five stars it is supposed to have. There were minor problems (broken bath tub, tv remote control, bathroom waste bin), but my main objection concerns the breakfast. Here's what happened: During booking on this website, I selected the breakfast option (€15 per person per night). It turns out that if you book breakfast at the hotel, you only pay two thirds of this. In other words, the package deal is more expensive than if you order the room and breakfast separately. When we discovered this, the hotel insisted on the price agreed on booking.com. So regardless of who makes money on this, do not under any circumstance click the breakfast option when booking the hotel!!
Quality fittings in room with a touch of Moroccan style No free internet access
The thousnads of students who gathered to go to a soccer match and started chanting at 2am. Went down to see what was happening and it was fab. The hotel was basically "under siege" but staff were great.Central location. The smell of cigarettes on my towles.
Friendly stuff, professional, great clean environment, Lack of communication while booking by e mail,
Beds were comfortable, room was bright and airy. Great location next to the train station but we didn't hear any noise from the station or trains. Location was a fair walk from the medina, royal palace, mellah and restaurants in the new city. Smoking was allowed in the lobby and that was the only place we could use the wifi which was terrible!!! The place has been quickly renovated and we got a carpet staple in the carpet and the bathroom was a shocker with a shower door that leaked water all over the floor, a leaky roof, a drain in the shower that didnt work in the shower and the bathroom floor sloped away from the drain in the floor.
Staff are kind and respectfull. The design of the hotel. The bed, the furniture and the noise from tv train.
The hotel has a nice swimming pool and has a good location (a 15 minutes walk to the centre and 2 minutes to the central trainstation) The rooms were small and tastlessly decorated. The hotel really lacks in atmosphere, it looks more like an european cheap motel.
I liked that I was able to get a guide to take me into the souks. The guide arrived very quickly and gave me an excellent tour which I could never have done myself, showed me everything on the list I had given and did not pressure me to go to any shops when I said I was not interested in shopping. I had asked for a wake up call because I had a trainb to catch early morning and was assured I would get a call. I didn't. Had the train station not been so close to the hotel I would have missed my train.
The hotel is ok. Well situated. Another guest got the same autorization on his hotel card, and opened my room, which is extremely inconvenient. The hotel personnel made their apologies.
Price was good for the state of the hotel. Right beside Station. Renovation was not mentioned and hotel in very poor condition in parts. My room was particularly run down and very tired although clean. Hotel will be nice once renovation complete whenever that is. One member of Bar Staff was a little "in your face" not great attitude.
Location to the train station is great, but a fair walk to see anything else. A regular chain hotel. Staff could have been a lot more helpful about local information and a map would be nice.
Staff really friendly and helpful. During our stay my girlfriend and I got really sick and had to stay at the hotel for a few extra days. The reception had a doctor call us in our room and even provided us with aspirins. Room service was also available around the clock, which was a great relief. Some reviews here claim that there is no internet access. However, the hotel has a computer with internet access which we got to use for free (though we had to wait a bit). Some rooms face noisy street/square. But it probably won't keep you awake.
The Location The hotel is really old and the rooms are not all that, I personlly didnt like it at all.
It is a good hotel with fine facilities and reasonably well kept rooms. the pool is a plus. Reception desk, employees are uneven in training, conduct, and professionalism. They should be trained to be more customer oriented and make sure that payment tally reflect an accurate accounting to avoid lengthy correction process.
the room was spacious, the beds were of large size, we stayed for 2nights and in the second day the hotel offered us a fruit basket which was what ae needed after tyring day spent in Fez. they have a large swimming pool 3m deep it was very nice. and the reception staff were so firendly and helpful.
due to delayed flights we were a day late the hotel changed our booking efficiently and without charge. the staff were efficient and pleasant our rooms were very luxurious overlooking the pool area will most certainly use this hotel again as we travel to Morocco often
An absolutely beautiful Riad with a number of private areas to relax in. Rooms beautifully furnished . Close to a gate where one can get taxis. Food excellent. Nothing I did not like. Loved Riad Fes
It is the second time I go to Riad Fes and I have to say that my experience was as amazing as the first time (2 years ago) even better. There is continuous improvement in the service and facilities. Bravo to all the staff especially Huda who was very helpful. Keep it up everybody. Nothing
nice and modern setting hotel is still in construction!
Staff was friendly, always ready to help and committed. They didn't give you the feeling that after long hours of work, any of your requests would be too much. There should have be some more storage room, that's all.
Service is excellent, location amazing and the place incredible! This riad is very silent inside. Lower floor rooms lack of intimacy as dining / breakfast tables are right in front
The atmosphere and location are excellent giving a wonderful experience of the fes medina while still giving the amenities westerners are accustomed to. Staff are friendly and helpful .no.
The Riad was so lovely and a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the medina. Def. recommend it. The terrace is a great place to spend the late afternoon relaxing. The only thing that would make this place nicer is if it were possible to drink wine, but I understand its not part of the culture. It would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset on the terrace.
For an authentic experience of the ancient city of Fes, this riad provided not only value for money but an object lesson in courtesy and hospitality rarely encountered. Apart from the staff and the arrangements they were able to make for excursions away from Fes, the dinners we had on the roof terrace were exceptional.
Location Poor service. Poor facility.
A very nice Riad with a beautiful garden, tiled walls and pillars, and lovely decorated romantic rooms. A fine selection for breakfast. Very helpful and nice personnel. Bathroom and toilets are below western standards for rooms of similar price.
We realized a riad is a special kind of place and riad Louna has a charming relaxing atmosphere, located within the Fes medina. There are attractive places to sit in the courtyards, while the food is authentic and appetizing.
My wife and I found ourselves in an environment where oriental beauty were abundant as were a feeling of warmth. You do not find this is the best of hotels. This is an exceptional riad in a country of many noble riads.
Very friendly and professional staff, excellent meals and location
Spacious hotel outside Fez. Location outside the crowded and hot medina gives the advantage above a night in a riad in tghe medina. Easy acces. The brochure promised traditional Maroc cuisine. Nothing seen of this on the menu.
Superb location overlooking the old city of Fes, good rate, helpful staff, large comfortable room, pleasant terraces and lounges with wonderful views, quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city, convenient for old city and new cities, good Moroccan restaurant. No heating although the weather was cold (mid November), problem with smell of drains in the first room offered - we had to change, breakfast/dinner in international restaurant mediocre.
we liked everything but the internet is just so bad that it takes more than 25 minuites toopen up a link and does not work atall in the rooms.
The view was very charming. The restaurant was not at the level of a 5 star hotel, the service was really low and the food was not good at all.
The Hotel is very clean and well looked after. Loads of staff everywhere maintaining the upkeep of the property at all times. We thought it very well appointed if you don't want to madness of the Medina. It was a 15 minute walk into the Medina (albiet crossing a main road on the way) so you can jump into the craziness quite quickly but a 15 minute walk back and you're next to the pool on a lounger. The only thing we'd say is that the hotel is very bland. You could be anywhere in the world really. The usual touristy buffet for breakfast (but hey it's included and its not bad), dodgy night time entertainment that boarders on bad Karaoke (I could sing better), young families and older tourists with bum bags and the pricing is high compared to eating/drinking in the Medina. For what we wanted though (a quiet pool holiday with something interesting to do when we got bored) it fulfilled what we were after.
We were only given the buffet food option and would have liked to have been able to have a la carte options, rather than self-service with a coach party
Outstanding view from the terrasse. Staff very helpful. Very good location right next to the medina.
The staff were very accomadating including providing breakfast on arrival at 10am and breakfast on departure at 6am. The owner and Fatima were very helpful in making our stay memorable. The restaurant staff were really lovely and helpful and went out of there way to ensure everything was just right, thank you. The inside of the Palace was truely amazing with lots of lovely rooms and the view from the terrace where we ate breakfast and dinner was again truely amazing. We loved Morocco and all that Palais De Fes Dar Tazi offered. We would stay here again.
Great terrace right close to the Madina. Fantastic view and very nice place to taste the atmosphere in Fes. Both outside as well as inside the hotel (reception) very hard selling tactics on taxis, guide (very expensive and still looked she was there for the shops commission as well), hamman, which was very unconvenient. The other staff though in the restaurant and cleaning were very friendly and nice. A pitty that the people at the door are not friendly at all.
the staff were amazing , it was like staying in a villa with personal service from the kitchen to the reception.. all fabulous, will be back V.soon
place was extremely clean, and well designed, with fantastic typical moroccan decor. The food amazing, the staff great, and very helpful. The view of Fes from the restaurant was magnificent. Not the cheapest place to stay if on a budget.
Nothing I booked a specific suite for 3 and received a different room with a small double bed. Very cramped.
the staff were excellent, warm welcoming went the extra mile for our comfort . food portions was generous. music and intertainment at night matches the city . need modernization of the furniture , rooms , textile . lights .
staff courtesy....especially lady called ameena. hotel owner Mr Tazi will make you feel welcomed...staff are friendly and helpful. some staff members can be a bit too friendly....therefore not for those who like seclusion and being left alone.
great integration in a Fes Medina The choice in the restaurant is limited . Too much stairs.
Good food and nice staff. Good rooms and it was quite comfortable. Rooms and hotel authentically decorated. The terrace was really nice and it was great to eat food out there. There was too much food and it was quite pricey. Its was not near the tourist area of the Medina but it was near the authentic area of the Medina. It was not near any other restaurants.
