8.3 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped, clean, comfortable rooms with own bar brasserie (closed Fri/Sat/Sun, which is odd). Close to town with shops, bars, restaurants a short walk away. About an hour from Calais. Aire de la Lys is an interesting town to walk around with some very impressive buildings. Very friendly bar just down the road. Many more in the town square. If you dont like bars or are travelling with children, there is a hypermarket almost opposite the hotel.
Cons: Would have preferred a hotel with restaurant open on Sat night, but our first choice was fully booked and this one was convenient for Eurotunnel. There appeared to be no staff on site except for 3pm-5pm registration and at breakfast. This makes me nervous in case of fire or other emergency.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was perfect, big enough, bathroom as well, very clean, proper curtains to keep the dark in the morning.Restaurant and breakfast were very good as well.
7.9 Good
Cons: TV mounted to high, therefore poor picture quality whilst seated. TV should be mounted at eye level for optimum viewing!!

9.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful chateau is run by a father & son as a very luxurious "Chambre et Tables d'Hotes" and it works very well. A fixed menu dinner was served, accompanied by aperitifs and wines, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Breakfast too was generous and set us up very well for our return journey to the ferry at Zeebrugge. The little village of Aire- sur-la- Lys is quite picturesque but very quiet.
Cons: To be certain of arriving at the Chateau, it is necessary to put in the GPS co-ordinates to your sat-nav as there is another property with the identical address also in Aire -sur-la-Lys but around 4 kilometres away!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: FANTASTIC! WENT EXTRA MILE TO SERVE IN TIME TO CATCH THE EUROTUNNEL. Isabell the hostess was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. It was a shame we could not stay longer to enjoy the stay but it has left a very positive impression and we are planning to stay at this location regularly in future and extending it to enjoy the service and ambience. I have not stayed in a place with such excellent service and comfort in years. Not even a five star hotel. Brave well done> Have already recommended to friend to make it their first choice which is a first ever.

Pros: Beautiful lodge in an ideal place for a stop off to/from Calais. Ticked all the boxes including a hot tub!
Cons: Arriving late on a Sunday in France everything local was obviously closed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden, decorations inside the lodge were lovely, very kind host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surroundings, very comfortable accommodation and extremely friendly host. In addition, the hot tub was an amazing extra. Wish we had longer but left wanting to come back again very soon!
Cons: There is nothing I could fault at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning property on its own little lake, very tranquil. Just what we needed after a long drive! The owner was very helpful too, and happy to tell us about the area. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and utensils. The design of the lodge is excellent. It’s clean, modern and beautifully put together. The shower is very powerful too.
Cons: There was no separate bedroom, it’s all open plan. On booking.com its advertised as a 2 bedroom lodge, it’s actually an open plan lodge with a double bed and a double sofa bed. Also it says on booking.com that there is a hot tub in each room, it’s actually a shared hot tub and is an extra that you have to book. These may be just translation issues on booking.coms part.

Cons: There is nowhere close to have an evening meal. So come prepared.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old farm building, littered with antiques - very interesting for lovers of the old and quaint. Very clean, bed very comfortable, we both slept well. Private carparking at the back. Friendly owner.
Cons: Typical French breakfast croissants, bread and jam. I don't have a sweet tooth so would have preferred a bit of cheese.
7.0 Good
Pros: Madame Brigitte was very welcoming after an extremely difficult journey because of the weather which caused us to arrive late. Coffee was offered on arrival which was lovely.
Cons: Breakfast was good but could have had a little more choice other than jams and croissant but to be fair was good value for money.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you like whistles and bells don’t book here, but if you’re happy with a typically french stay, lots of wooden beams, lovely friendly french hostess, in the middle of nowhere, has all the facilities just olde world, then it’s really lovely, that’s what we wanted, we had a lovely comfortable stay
Cons: Out in the sticks but we were only passing through
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brigitte is s natural born host, she is also very flexible and super friendly. I will come back
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hostess
7.1 Good
Pros: Very unique, big room for the 3 of us with was clean and had all essentials needed including spare pillows. The property itself has lots of antiques and collectibles everywhere. Madame (owner) was very welcoming and friendly and even waited for us as we arrived 45mins later than the check in time at night. The breakfast was basic with 5 different breads, butter and home made jams. Fresh coffee and hot milk (from the farm’s own cows) so kids could have hot chocolate.
Cons: The double bed was creaky and the mattress protector is plastic underneath which is a good thing, however I didn’t get a good nights sleep as it felt like sleeping on bin liners, making a noise every time one of us turned around whilst the bed frame creaked. Continental breakfast should have included cheese & couple of slices of cold meat and maybe a boiled egg? But the lady’s friendliness and showing us around the farm made up for it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is a beautiful place. It's right in the Via Francigena. It's spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Homemade jams for breakfast with a large choice of breads and pasties. The lady who runs it is very nice.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like.

Pros: Dinner was excellent however breakfast was rather disappointing. The rooms are on the small side but very adequate and bed was extremely comfortable. The stairs to the accommodation are precipitous and could be a problem for some guests.
Cons: Breakfast was rather disappointing. Too much cake and not enough bread (could the owners possibly be related to Marie Antoinette?!)
