Excellent Breakfast and friendly hosts. Nice common pool for guests in a lovely quiet location above the lake
We felt mislead and disappointed as the many room facilities listed in great detail turned out a mistake and only available in the owners area for all guests. We had booked several days but as it was high season, could not move. We had to use the owner's kitchen for eating preparation and a shared refrigerator (from which our drinks disappeared) . The rooms are pretty basic and we were moved for one night into the disabled room in which the toilet is separated by a thin wicker screen. Zero privacy. It should be seen as a modest bed and breakfast with shared facilitates and little privacy.
The staff was very frienly. Very quiet location. Nice garden with swimming pool.
No restaurant nearby.
The location is great, the whole house and pool area extremely clean I'd say, the kitchen can be used by all, our room (quite large) had a 'terrasse' and the jacuzzi is a top one (but along with the sauna... in the garage). The gentleman in charge is easy to talk to and knows a lot about his 'region', the lake. For breakfast, one can have a small glass of squeezed orange, various cheese, eggs, ham, pastry (on our second day though the croissants/pains au chocolat were from the previous day
A bit shocked on arrival. We had agreed a few weeks before on a certain room with a bath and not a disabled access to then be told other guests wanted that one. Very surprising not to be given any soaps or shampoos considering the price. We were looking forward to the complimentary drink, were given the choice between beer and various juice whereas the lucky person who entered the room 5 mins later was offered vodka, whisky... and shown the content of the bar. I was not impressed! 1st night woken up at 4am by somebody who was pulling the rolling blinds up and again 30 mins later. 2nd night at 7am by the noise in the kitchen as room right next to it.
The owners welcomed us, were extremely accommodating and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms we clean, modern and bright with a beautiful over the lake. The pool in front of the house was the highlight on a hot summer day. Just gorgeous. The breakfast was extraordinary with fresh croissants and breads. We had a beautiful stay.
Everything was perfect.
